The Warhammer 40,000 team tournament is back 2010.
Last year we had a lot of international visitors with two French teams, one German team and one Danish team. There was a total of 34 teams attending.
The information here is still preliminary, but will soon be finalized. Please post this on your own national forums as well.
The date:
5-7 November.
The team:
The teams consist of four to six players, of which one acts as team captain. Each team hands in four army lists of 1500 points. Each game is then played by four of the players on the team.
A team can have a maximum of one army list from each codex and all Space Marines codices count as one codex. If a team does not include Chaos Space Marines, they may include two Space Marines.
This year we have a new option: Pure Chaos-teams will be allowed, given that all four army lists come from codex Chaos Space Marines or four lists from codex Chaos Daemons. If you choose this option, each list must be dedicated to one of the four gods (Khorne, Tzeentch, Slaanesh, Nurgle) and all gods must be represented.
This means for example that a unit of regular CSM can’t take an Icon other than that represented by the list. A Nurgle army can only take Nurgle marks and icons or no icon at all, Chaos Glory is not allowed.
Comp:
The tournament will be using RT-kompmallen. A slightly updated version will be released shortly but the latest version (6.0) can be found here:
http://www.svenska40k.se/forum/viewforum.php?f=52
The composition from all the lists according to RT-kompmallen will be summed up and then divided by 10. The result will be rounded (up or down) to the nearest integer.
The difference in comp between two teams playing will then be added to or subtracted from the tournament points to reach the final score in the game.
No single list can have a comp-score below 20.
Registering:
The team captain signs up the team on the tournament website (link will be available soon), the registration opens up 1 September. Army lists do not have to be sent in at this point.
Registration closes two weeks before the tournament. This is also the final date for sending in army lists.
Incorrect lists that require action will be penalized with -20 in the final score. Incorrectly calculated composition score will give -10.
If an uneven amount of teams have registered, the last registered team will be reserves.
Painting:
Painting restrictions are tabletop standard on all armies. Everything must be painted, based and WYSIWYG. A best painted competition will be held among the competing armies.
There will also be an award for best sportsmen as well as having the best team name.
Registering for the convention:
All participants must also register and pay for the convention. Practical questions should be directed at the convention web site: http://bsk.sverok.net/
The web site is currently not updated for 2010, but will hopefully be shortly.
Tournament fee:
A small sum will be collected on the spot. This will be used for awards in the tournament and will be a maximum of 100 SEK per team (€11).
