Greetings Imperial Citizens, Astartes and Xeno filth!

I once read a 40k book, which brought my into the franchise, made Star Wars horrible and ultimatly ruined my bank account. But I love it!
I would love to read it again and write one or two theatre scenes on its basis, as I play much theatre in my free time. But years ago I borrowed it to someone I can't remember and never got it back. And I can't remember the title.

Hopefully someone can help me.
Some things I still remember🙁there might be some incorrect descriptions)
It is about a revolt on a planet (jungle with many rivers, if I remember correctly)
The Imperial Guard goes in. They are the protagonists.
You also sometimes get the point of view of Chaos Cultists or Apostates and of some civilians who, after they assume, they are finally safe, get exectuted by guardsmen.
The final fight against the rebels is in a kind of labyrinth fortress.
Later the regiment gets declared heretics or traitors and get attacked by I guess the Adeptus Sororitas.

It's been many years since I read it so I can't really provide more details.
Thank you in advance for your help.

If it should be crucial for your decision, if you help me: Yes! Even though, I'm a dirty german, I am a loyal citizen of the Imperium. (Actually working 12 hours a day. I'm even this loyal, that I almost do some kind of reenactment.)
