Well here we have a game played with my new Gnoll Warband. I took the Gnolls and Nick Simmerson kindly brought an Undead force along to oppose them. I say kindly...

🙂 Anyway - the game was played using a fantasy version of my Beyond the Gates of Antares ruleset with suitable tweaking. We got to try out the new rules for magic casting and magic duels (good start!) and some of the rules for Undead (needs some tweaking as Nick's Undead proved more lively than their living opponents).

It's a version of my Beyond the Gates of Antares system.

Modelle sind alte WHFB-Skelette und die neuen Gnolle von Northstar.

Persönlich würde ich da jetzt nicht zu viel hereininterpretieren. Ich denke, dass es ein neues Fantasy Syetem aktuell auf dem Mark schwer haben dürfte. Wenn, dann müsste es schon sehr überzeugen, sei es durch geniale Regeln oder tolle Miniaturen.

Traue ich Warlord Games durchaus zu, das sie ihre Range noch um ein Fantasy System erweitern. Allerdings dann hoffentlich mit etwas übersichtlicheren Regeln. Inzwischen sind die Regelwerke einfach überladen. Gerade Gates of Antares müsste weitaus abgespeckt werden, wenn man eine Alternative zu 40k bieten möchte.

Warlord Games ist ja seit Jahren kräftig am wachsen. So weit ich weiß sind da viele alte GW Hasen bei Warlord angestellt. Wenn Sie es schaffen ein Fantasy System zu erfinden, welches die bessere 9 Edition ist und die alten Fantasy Spieler damit einfängt könnte das durchaus was werden. Allerdings gibt es am Fantasy Markt sehr viele Anbieter, heißt es wird sehr schwer da ein großes System aufzubauen. Selbst GW hat da ja in den letzten Jahren Federn gelessen, gibt halt mitlerweile viele Zweitanbieter von denen man Minis für das jeweilige System beziehen kann.
