DoW Keys bei Steam einlösbar

Wurd ja shcon kürzlich angekündigt und nun nochmal verifiziert, wer seiennDoW I, Winter Assault, Soulstorm oder Dark Crusasde Key bei Steam einlösen will kann dies tun. Wenns nicht automatisch klappt dann entsprechend beim Sega Support melden.

Just to update and confirm - any purchased box versions of DoW will receive steam keys. If you've not been able to redeem them, contacting Sega support will resolve this. Here is a slightly more direct link to submitting a request:

I'll raise the fact that some of you have been waiting for days within our internal channels, to let them know what you're experiencing. I will say that due to the Gamespy servers shutting down, a lot of these requests are coming through - which is absolutely a contributing factor to the wait times.

In the end, we know that this is a bit frustrating for our fans, and we really appreciate your patience. We're working to get the steam keys out to those that need them!

Ja. Ich warte derzeit drauf das mir SEGA Support antwortet.
Ich freu mich echt drauf malwieder ne gescheite Runde DoW1 zu zocken

Mal die Tage ausprobieren, weiß man nun schon näheres zu DoW 2?

Jup. Hat geklappt.
Ich hab denen Fotos von meinen alten "nicht-Steam-fähigen" Spielen geschickt (DoW, DoW Winter Assault und DoW Dark Crusade) und hab sogar am selben Tag noch ne Mail mit dem DoW Platinum Key für Steam bekommen.

Ist die Freischaltung der alten DOW Spiele notwendig, auch wenn ich selbige nur noch Offline spielen möchte?

Offline SP = Kannst bei Retail bleiben.
LAN MP = Musst (bisher) bei Retail bleiben.
Online MP = Musst auf Steam wechseln.

Letzten Endes kostet es dich nichts die Spiele auch bei Steam zu registrieren. Die Retail die du rumliegen hast bleibt davon ja unbeeinflußt ^^

Ich muss auch sagen, wenn ich anfangs auch nen Gegner von Steam und so war, bin ich mittlerweile ganz froh so eine Bibliothek zu haben. Die einzigen 2 Dinge die nerven sind
1. Wenn Steam irgendwann mal den Dienst einstellt heisst es Bangen um die Games
2. Mittlerweile gibts soviele "Steams" von vielen Publishern (Origin, Uplay usw). Das nervt dann leider doch wieder.
