Gute Nachrichten für alle GW-RPGler:

Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay and
Warhammer 40,000 Roleplay

Q: Black Industries (BI) currently had three Dark Heresy products in the pipeline: "Purge the Unclean", "Inquisitor's Handbook", and "Disciples of the Dark Gods". Does FFG intend to publish these three supplements? I don't need dates or anything I realize it's far too soon for that, but I would like to know if these will be published at all.
A: FFG plans to publish all three of these books in the coming months, plus many more in the years to come.
Q: Warhammer FRP's "The Thousand Thrones" was supposed to be released in March. Will this be published by FFG?
A: We plan to release "The Thousand Thrones" as well in short time.
Q: Will Dark Heresy and WHFRP be changed to D20 or D&D 4E?
A: No.
Q: What is the status of the Dark Heresy reprint?
A: Our current plans have this book reprinted in early Summer 2008.
Q: Will there be new forums and websites for GW roleplaying products?
A: Absolutely! We'll be adding new websites and forums for Dark Heresy and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplay very soon.
Q: What about online pre-orders of these books?
A: FFG is a strong proponent of local game stores, which we consider to be the backbone of the hobby game industry. However, if you are not lucky enough to have a game store near you, FFG sells games through our online store when they go on sale at local retailers.
Q: What will happen to the contents of the Black Industries websites for Dark Heresy and WHFRP?
A: We will be coordinating with BI staff to transfer pertinent game information to our new Warhammer 40,000 and WHFRP websites, which will be launched in the weeks to come.

Die Frage ist, wie FFG arbeitet...
Wenn sie festangestellte Mitarbeiter wollen, die in ihren eigenen Büroräumen sitzen, dürften nicht allzuviele von England über den Teich rüberziehen wollen.

Die Frage ist halt, wer segnet die FFG Produkte ab?! Bei aller IP-Diskussion, so hatte es durchaus was für sich, daß GW die Hand auf die Inhalte hatte und einen (einigermaßen) konsistenten Hintergrund gewährleistet hat.

Sehr unwahrscheinlich. Die ganze RPG-Branche kann sich sowas nicht leisten, sehr oft werden ja auch Freelancer beschäftigt, die mal ein Projekt durchziehen und dann wieder weiterziehen, da erwartet keiner, dass er für 3 Monate mal nach Amerika umzieht, vor allem wenn man das Zeugs auch daheim im Wohnzimmer machen kann.

Geilomat. Ich kam zwar noch nicht dazu, Dark Heresy zu spielen, aber das System wirkt nach dem Lesen des Buches wie eine verbesserte Version von WFRPII, und das war schon ein gutes System. Schön, dass es noch eine Weile auf dem Markt bleibt.
