BATTLEFLEET GOTHIC
UNOFFICIAL GAME SUPPLEMENT
PROJECT DEVELOPMENT LAUNCH

GREETINGS! 🙂

My name is Maverick and I am the Project Director for an up-comming
game supplement for Battlefleet Gothic. I am also the Site
Administrator for Battlefleet Gothic Wiki <http://battlefleet-
gothic.wikia.com/wiki/Battlefleet_Gothic_Wiki> , the co-host of Vox
Cast <http://voxcastbfg.blogspot.com/> (BFG Pod Cast)
and a contributor on Port Maw <http://www.portmaw.com/news.php> .

I am looking for fans interested in gettting involved in producing a
game supplement available for free down-load to the entire BFG
community and to help generate interest in the hobby. The format
followed will be similar to that of the BFG & Armada books.

I am looking for fans with creative imaginations, writing ability and
graphic &/or photoshop layout design skills.

THIS MEANS YOU!

I am also looking for a site to host project development and release,
so any suggestions are welcome.

We are still in the early stages of design, but I offer you a brief
overview of what we are seeking to achieve:

IMPERIUM IN FLAMES (Working Title)

( DISCLAIMER: This material is in no way intended to infringe on
Mechanicum by Graham McNeill and at this stage is only working
material. All material is subject to change.)

We have been considering the possibility of the Void Dragon(Necron
C'tan or Star God) being long ago imprisoned inside the planet Mars
by the Emperor and being worshiped in ignorance as the Machine God by
the Machine Cult, a secret sect inside the Adeptus Mechanicus. The
cult would be difficult for the Adeptus Mechanicus to root-out & I
doubt they would allow the Inquisition to exercise their juristiction
to do so. After all - Knowledge is Power and the last thing the
Adeptus Mechanicus wants is the Inquisition learning their ancient
secrets & committing techno-heresy.

Imagine the ramifications of a schism within the Adeptus Mechanicus!
The Inquisition gets wind of it early on but the Mechanicus' upper
eschalons of power remain very cagey. Things come to a breaking
point,a rift is apparent, mistakes are made, the church gets
involved, things get very messy very quickly. The Grey Knights are
mobilized to strike Mars. Mars' titans and considerable naval
defenses are mobilised, as are those of every forge world in the
galaxy. The church demands exterminatus. The High Lords of Terra and
the Navis Nobilitae demand otherwise. Tension mounts as everything
delicately balances on a knife edge. Then zealots in the Segmentum
Pacifica storm a Forge World and this triggers a chain-reaction of
events. Civil war breaks out throughout the Imperium as various
factions seek to defend or destroy the Adeptus Mechanicus. Unchecked,
Chaos Legions begin a bloody rampage throughout the Imperium of Man,
sowing seeds of discord and descent. The Tau Empire, seeing the tide
of misery and evil, begins its next phase of expansion to bring
enlightenment and peace to a troubled galaxy. A particularly powerful
Ork Warlord announces himself "Ork Emperor" and declares a mighty
Waaagh! in a move to monopolize from the surmounting mayhem, and this
has a snowball effect as Warlord after Warlord rally behind him. The
Biel-Tan and Ulthwe Eldar swiftly move ina series of co-ordinated
strikes throughout the galaxy, seeking toavoid escalating cataclysmic
events. Through all of this, the C'tanslowly rise, their Necron
minions unleashed upon the galaxy in an unprecedented revelation.
The time of the Harvest is come!
The God Emperor of Mankind on his Golden Throne (or rather, his
church) on AncientTerra declares a Great Crusade to save his
perishing Imperium - the future of mankind is at stake!

We're also considering introducing a completely NEW species into the
game which will be allied to the Tau Empire as part of their next
phase of expansion, so there is plenty of opportunity for creativity.
We're not talking about extensive in-depth intricate fluff, but a
looser,open-ended story-line which allows people to play ANY sector in
ANY Segmentum and includes all available species. High-yield fun!
We need a BIG release, as the origional BFG release was big & as was
Armada. BIG fleets, BIG ships, BIG war in a BIG galaxy. Consider it
BFG Apocolypse.

All questions and suggestions are welcome so please feel free to reply
to this message or email me at [email protected]
