Naja, da das Geld erst ausgezahlt wird wenn die Summe auch zustande kommt und sie sogar extra drunter schreiben dass das Ganze ein netter Scherz sein soll wird das wohl eher nichts mit dem Reichtum ;-)

Aber was passiert eigentlich wenn bei Kickstarter das Geld zwar zusammenkommt, aber die Ware nicht geliefert wird ?

Ich meine, sieht Kickstarter eigentlich solche "Spaßaktionen" vor ? Zulassen tun sie´s ja offenbar.
Klar, die 20 Mio sind absichtlich hoch gewählt und es wird ausdrücklich gesagt, dass es nur ein Scherz ist. Was wäre aber nun wenn 1 Mio Star Wars Fan 20 $ hergeben dafür ?
Kommt da nach den Kickstarter AGBs nicht ein Vertrag zustande, demzufolge dann auch die 20 Mio $ ausgezahlt werden ?

Haben die Backer dann Rechtsansprüche oder läuft das unter persönlichem Risiko ?

  No, as we feel if we can actually raise £543 quadrillion pounds then Kickstarter certainly deserves their cut. As for Amazon, we're sure they'll agree to refund the fees once the station is complete.

• Correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't the downfall of the first Death Star due to open source plans?
  No, the first Death Stars was closed source and the theft of the plans resulting in the loss of many Bothan lives. Had the previous Death Star plans been more open, someone might have spotted the obvious design flaw. We believe that an open source project is safer, cheaper and better for everyone.

  The plans will be finalized once the project reaches it's funding goal.

• Isn't your goal a little low to build an X-Wing Squadron?
  Aren't you a little short to be a Storm Trooper? What's with the inquisition? We're the Rebel Alliance. We're scrappy and work on a low budget. We also have lower overheads without all the bureaucratic red tape of the Empire. Besides, our goal gets us a single X-wing and pilot. Our stretch goals get us a whole squadron and possibly a Millenium Falcon.

• Will you be including targeting computers? Because, while it seems like a standard component, there is evidence to suggest they're quite useless when taking down a Death Star.
  Although targeting computers will be standard equipment, we'd prefer it if our pilots trust in the power of the Force.
