Bin über Boardgamegeek gerade hierauf gestoßen, denke zwar nicht das sie ihr Ziel erreiche wollte es aber trotzdem mal zeigen das sich die Idee interessant anhört.
Reign of the Accursed is a horror tabletop role-playing game in which the players assume the role of tenebrous godspawns, descendants of the accursed God. These powerful beings once ruled the Aerden but their greediness and disregard for their mortal subjects caused humanity to revolt and drive the tyrants to the brink of extinction. Over the course of centuries the accursed effaced their existence from the sight and history of men, becoming unassailable in obscurity. Tonight they walk the streets of the Aerden in the guise of their prey.
Most of the accursed demigods belong to secret orders, founded by the Primordials, the fathers of each of the 10 bloodlines. The purpose of every order, in one way or another, is to accumulate enough power so as to subjugate the rest and in turn re-emerge and reign over the Aerden as the sole ruler. Until then, most of the orders abide by the rules of their underground society, at least superficially, and vie for power through indirect means, political games, scheming and betrayal. However, there are orders which care little for the accursed society and its rules, and seek to destroy everything that was built along with the architects.
Reign of the Accursed uses an original d10, level-less and class-less system that allows for nearly endless character customization. When creating a character for Reign of the Accursed you get to choose amongst various templates that end up determining what your character is like. We call this system the multi-self and it works as such: You choose a template for your character's physique, personality type, psyche, philosophical views and finally a template for your higher-self*. These templates along with some other factors** determine the starting values of your character's attributes and skills, along with her/his behaviour and personality.
*The higher-self is the wraith that inhabits your character from the point that he or she was delivered into vampirism. Even though it has become one with your character it still strives to impose its will and influence your decisions.
** When you create your character you also get a few character-building points to spend wherever you like. Depending on the campaign you may be also assigned experience points to spend on skills, attributes etc. during character creation.
