Hey there,

I just have a quick question about our favourite shield wielding sisters - the Sacresants.

They are currently being assambled but now we come to the other hand and I am wondering how you euqip them.
Maces or Halberds?

Both look great in their own ways so it comes down to rules.
From what I have seen people prefer the Halberds. Is that correct?

The only upside to the maces is the higher damage, but the other stat seem to be in favour of the halberds.

Anyone of a different opinion?

Hey Skathrex,

your right, the helberts are the prefered option so far. Why? Cause you have strenght 6, which is a breakpoint regarding to wound: Infantery or Bikes with thoughness 4/5 on 3+ to wound is nice and toughness 3 models are wounded on 2, is absolut great. Paired together with the high AP of -3, ideal.

The maces have atm just one point of use: Against standard primaris marines and models with their profile cause of the damge value of 2. Personally, I think in a bloody rose detachment, maces could be interesting with the ap bonus. But even there, the halbert is just better in almost any case. I use halberts in bloody rose detachments and I can say: They slash trough everything they hit (except toughness 7 or 8 models, here it depends a little bit on luck ^^). Even primaris marines are nothing more then rubbish after a charge of these pretty damn nasty girls. 🙂

In the end, play what you like more, style or playwise. 😉

First of all: the spear for the superior is a no brainer.

For the rest i used for starters the halberds - they deliver more reliable dmg. And with more and more dmg -1 abilities in the game, dmg 2 weapons seem to pay for something they can't deliver.

On the other side i magnetized my hole squad (melee weapons + superior pistol) so i'm safe from Dex changes. (And this way the halberds are way easier to transport)
