Dynastopian Wars

The world of Dystopian Wars is similar to our own, but subtly different. The year is 1870 and the Industrial Revolution occurred decades earlier than in our own world. Technology is far advanced, and in many cases, unrecognisable, which has led to the development of fantastic naval vessels, hulking land ships and terror from the skies in the form of airships and war balloons.
Dystopian Wars is set in a Steampunk Victorian world and is designed to ensure a fun game with a large selection of high quality models in a couple of hours. The rules support Naval, Aerial and Land models from the outset, so that you can set up battles and scenarios in any combat setting. Spartan Games will supply highly detailed, high quality resin and metal miniatures with which you can roam the high seas, scour the smog filled skies of Dystopian Wars for enemy flying ships, or doggedly defend the cities and countryside of your home nation.

Heroes of Myth & Legend
Our first set of 40mm miniatures start our journey into the world of Greek Mythology and focus in the main on Jason and his Argonauts. We've kicked off with a number of classic modelsfor this particular myth and added a few extra models along the way.

Firestorm Armada
This game is our second major product release, and follows the same ethos with which we designed The Uncharted Seas, both are games that are easy to learn and give a fast paced game. We are big fans of naval games whether they are on the ocean or in deep space, so it was a logical progression to ask our sculptors here at Spartan Games to work on some futuristic ship designs.
Firestorm Armada launched on November 23rd with four fleets in place: Terrans, Dindrenzi, Aquans and Sorylian. All four fleets also had Carrier upgrade ships available for them and in our 96 page core rule book we detailed two more races - The Directorate and The Relthoza. Over time we will roll out more upgrade ships, including such things as Escorts, Heavy Cruisers, Leviathans, Gunships and so on.

Uncharted Seas
The Uncharted Seas is a fast paced, action packed game of naval tactical combat set in a world of high fantasy. Using superb resin and white metal miniatures, and controlled by fast and easy to learn rules, the game allows you to wage war with fantastical squadrons of mighty warships.
Choose from one of several races, including the Iron Dwarfs with their steam powered ironclads, Orc Raiders with their grotesque machines of war, the ever powerful Dragon Lords, an ancient race of magical seafarers, Imperial Humans hell bent on grabbing as much land as they can and the Thaniras Elves with their sleek ships of war.

Das Fantasy-Schiffe-versenken Konzept find ich auch cool (gabs ja vor zig Jahren mal bei GW), vor allem sind die je nach Typ recht einfach zusammenzubauen (Resin Korpus + Metallsegel)

Es sind jetzt auch Bilder zu den beiden Boxen für die Antarktika-Fraktion aufgetaucht (eng.: Covenant of Antarctica, CoA).

Also mir gefällt das alles sehr gut. Es ist mit seinen Anleihen an den SciFi Filmen der 50er und 60er Jahre mal was anderes - passt aber optisch noch ins Setting. Bleibt nur abzuwarten, wie die Regeln aussehen werden - handelt es sich im Fluff doch um die technologisch am weitesten entwickelte Fraktion in Dystopian Wars...

Prinzipiell hätte mich die Fraktion gereizt, aber jetzt bin ich irgendwie enttäuscht. Ich hatte da irgendwie mehr erwartet.

Und ich frag mich grad, wie die Drohnen bei dem Träger wieder landen sollen?

Eigentlich wurst, im Spiel kann man kleine Flieger vor Spielende eh kaum wieder landen und einen zweiten Angriff bekommen...

Gar nicht. Laut der Beschreibung SGs wassern die und werden dann eingeholt:

The Carrier deploys 6 ëdrones’ and operates by watching its drone fly around the gaming table, eventually running out of fuel and ditching. A massive crane in the centre section of the Carrier collects the drones and remounts them on to the six launch racks on the sides of the vessel.

Nope, ist ja ein "größerer Hersteller" mit eigenen Systemen.

Dafür hat er dort jedoch auch einen eigenen Thread.

Die Idee beim Träger ist wohl, dass die ferngesteuert werden und nach dem Verbrauch des Treibstoffs einfach wassern, wo sie der Träger dann später wieder einholt. Eigentlich irgendwie ein antiquiertes System, vor allem für die Hightech-Fraktion.

Irgendwie erinnert mich der Träger übrigens etwas an dieses eine besondere Zylonenschiff aus der nicht mehr ganz so neuen Battlestar Galactica Serie...
(war es das Auferstehungsschiff?)

Exakt meine Meinung. Denen fehlt das sog. "gewisse Etwas".:huh:
Der Träger ist allerdings schon sehr schick.

Gibt es ne Begründung warum die Antarktis-Fraktion technologisch so weit ist? Oder anders gesagt sind die an irgendeine Kultur/Fraktion aus unserer Geschichte angelehnt?

Der Begründer, Lord Sturgeon, hat vor 25 Jahren in der Antarktis etliche Artefakte gefunden, welche die Basis für die vorzeitige Entwicklung bilden. Auf der Seite von Spartan Games lässt sich dazu mehr lesen.

Uncharted Seas Relaunches!

Relaunch mit Überarbeitetem Regelbuch im September 2011 (die Grundregeln werden aber nicht geändert, sie bleiben auf dem Stand der 2. Edition, ebenso wie die Race-Decks) .

Es werden alle 7 Flotten neue Schiffe erhalten (3D-Modelliert).

Schiffe und Regelwerk werden gleichzeitig erscheinen.

Desweiteren ist ein Kampagnen-Set angekündigt

Es ist nun auch der erste der Dreadnaughts für die Hauptfraktionen von Firestorm Armada aufgetaucht - nämlich der Sorylian Dreadnaught. Der Plan ist, dass auch alle anderen Frationen (Terraner, Aquans, Dindrenzi, Direktorat und Realtoza) ihren Dreadnaught bekommen werden.

Also ich finde das Teil verdammt schick und es wird sicher seinen Weg in meine Sorylianflotte finden...
