The Light Armour Mobile Infantry has proved to be a catalogue of errors, to the extent that we have been forced to cancel the existing models. For whatever reason, the plastics factory commissioned for the project has been unable to reach the quality of production that we believe fans of the Starship Troopers game deserve. However, this would mean effectively starting the project again from scratch, a process that will take at least six months and stall the rest of the Starship Troopers line for a similar time.
So, we are instead intending to do the following;
We are in the process of commissioning a range of metal models for the Light Armour Mobile Infantry. The full range of weapons and equipment options will be available in this range, all in crisp and weighty metal - we are getting some of our best sculptors involved in this project.
Best of all (and for this box set only!), we will stick to our promise of 20 Light MI (enough for two whole squads) in the box for $24.95/£15. In addition, they will also be available through our new Parts Service, so if you want 14 snipers in your army, you can pick up 14 snipers without having to buy multiple boxes.
We may revisit the idea of plastic Light MI in a year or two but we have taken this decision in order to continue the momentum Starship Troopers has built up and provide the models our players have been wanting without getting them to pay over the odds.
