KHADOR
Khador is good in hand-to-hand, but you can do a very tasty Khador list that doesn't require much hand to hand at all. Khador is more about raw power. There is a good bit of finesse to playing Khador, but the way it all plays out is through manoeuvring the right 'raw power' to the right place, and engaging. Other factions, in their tool boxes, have lockpicks for picking locks, wrenches for loosening nuts and bolts, and saws for cutting. Khador only has a sledgehammer. The trick is to be able to use that sledgehammer to pick locks, loosen bolts, and cut.
CYGNAR
Cygnar is the master of the indirect, and controlling the terms of engagement. Why bother slogging through your armour when I can just prod you and have it go right to the cortex? Why should I bother letting you shoot at my Stormblades as they cross the field, when I can just put up a smokescreen and have them assault your lines untouched? The trick with Cygnar is to use the guns until your opponent is limping, and then go in with the hammers to keep 'em from twitching.
THE PROTECTORATE OF MENOTH
The Protectorate are the masters of synergy. The units, while seemingly less capable by themselves, work frighteningly well in unison. Choirs to make it so you can't shoot at the 'jacks while they advance, so they're a perfect cover to protect your Knights Exemplar on the way in, who will cut a path for your Zealots ... and, just for fun, throw in some heinous support and defence spells.
CRYX
Cryx is the army that smokes you in your shoes before you even get a chance to cry out in protest. Their main strength is being able to focus every trick under the rainbow on one guy, turning the invincible into a withered wreck, primed to be chewed to death by Thralls or Bonejacks. Cygnar is better at controlling the terms of engagement, but no one beats Cryx when it comes to forcing their opponent's hand. They will make it nearly impossible to move somewhere that they don't want you to be. You have to play Cryx at breakneck speed, because if you slow down for even a second, there's gonna be someone there to kick over your popsicle stand. [/b]
