The Great War

From the pen of The Great War writer Alex Buchel comes Warhammer Historical's next release - Over the Top. This supplement covers the period during the First World War from 1915 to 1918, adding a wealth of detail to its parent rulebook.

Over the Top contains a full year-by-year overview of the 1915-18 period, new Battalion-level army lists for British Empire, French and German forces, and a new army list for the American Expeditionary Force, including the Devil Dogs and US Tank Companies. It also contains detailed rules covering such actions as assaulting a trench line, or leading a hand-picked party on a trench raid, as well as background missions to set miniature wargames within the larger backdrop of some of the greatest actions of the First World War.

New rules are included to add to the scope of The Great War, including Heavy Artillery, a new Command and Control mechanism and full rules for fighting Big Battles: engagements such as Loos, Artois, Passchendaele, the Somme and Vimy Ridge, and this full colour 176-page, softback book is lavishly illustrated with maps, colour photographs of period militaria, and both colour and black-and-white photographs of a huge selection of miniatures and scenery.

Da muß ich einfach noch was zufügen 🙂

Meiner Meinung nach ein richtig nettes Spielsystem

Old West - Das "Wild West" Tabletop (Skirmish)

A tabletop miniatures game which allows you to bring to life the deeds of the brave lawmen and gunfighters of the most famous period in America’s history. This lavish, full-colour manual contains all the rules you need to gather your posse and play games set on the harsh American frontier. Within you will find eight action-packed scenarios, and a campaign system that allows you to develop your fighters into hard-bitten heroes and villains of the Old West.

Fight alongside some of the deadliest figures of Western legend - such as Billy the Kid, Doc Holliday and Wyatt Earp. Rob a stagecoach with the James gang, or try to out-draw Wild Bill Hickock. Grab your sixgun, saddle your mustang and prepare to take part

Authors: Martin Gibbons
Pages: 216pp
Format: Hardcover

You can view some page spreads, including a complete list of the armies from this book by clicking here.

Warhammer Armies of Antiquity is a supplement for Warhammer Ancient Battles second edition, the popular rules set for fighting battles on the tabletop with model armies. This 208 page hardback book contains no fewer than 100 fully revised and updated army lists for the following forces from the ancient and medieval world:

The air war reached its peak between 1917 and 1918 as aircraft became fast, highly manoeuvrable machines; each pilot determined to attain a superior position for the fleeting seconds in which a target might pass through a gun sight.
In the years leading up to 1917 the ground conflict of the Great War was proving costly to both sides, and the battles fought in the air were equally as intense as technological advances and better tactics were developed.

Richthofen’s Flying Circus, written by Owen Branham, is a detailed rules set that allows players to recreate this fast-paced aerial combat with one or more miniature aircraft. Each game turn represents a snapshot of the action as the machines move across the aerial battlefield and fire upon their opponent.

This full-colour, 80-page soft back rulebook contains rules for playing aerial combat games with 1/72 scale model aircraft, and can also be used with 1/144 to 1/32 scale models. Scenarios are provided for such missions as Dogfighting, Balloon Bursting and Bombing missions, as well as rules for playing both narrative campaigns or ‘top gun’-style leagues. Also included is a technical gallery and aircraft background information, and you can view some sample page spreads here.

Richthofen’s Flying Circus is available to order now for immediate release.

The Great War ist fast exakt Warhammer 40.000 3. Edition, Warhammer Ancients ist ein abgewandeltes Warhammer Fantasy 4./5. Edition und Warmaster Ancients ist Warmaster sehr ähnlich. Also alle recht leicht erlernbar.

Für das Wildwestsystem Legends of the Old West kann man letztendlich alle Minis nehmen.
