Nach Seite 15 des englischen FAQ dürfen sich UCM von außerhalb der Formation in dem Fall vor der Aufstellung gar nicht erst einer Einheit mit der entsprechenden Sonderregel anschließen.

Da die Einheiten des Subterranean Uprising zu einem bestimmten Zeitpunkt ins Spiel kommen (müssen) und der Patriarch nicht über diese Sonderregel verfügt, kann er sich den Einheiten des SE nicht anschließen. So würde ich das zumindest interpretieren.

Naja, Moment. Das einzige was die Einheiten Unterscheidet in der Aufstellung ist die Anzahl der Würfel auf CA, aber nicht die Art der Aufstellung.

Aber ich verstehe endlich was gemeint ist.

Dagegen spricht das hier aus dem Genestealer FAQ S.2 rechte Spalte zweite Frage:

Q: If a unit in the Subterranean Uprising Formation is joined
by a Patriarch or Magus who is not from the Formation, are
they still able to roll 2D6 when using Cult Ambush?
A: No.

Ja da geht es um die Situation während des Spiels. Also anschließen ab dem ersten Spielzug. Zusätzlich muss man den Suptarraenien Uprising immer im ersten Zug aufstellen das Charaktermodel nicht.
