Here's a guided demo of BeamDown where we show you one of the quick build tool sets and the user interface.??

We're really excited that all the core systems are in place which means we can now get stuck into the advanced features! ?

I like the ease of use of the alpha and will set up the reminder. But I'm waiting for the pricing model.
After the terrain machine, terrain tinker etc. I learned that pricing is importend as I like to use them but compared to "traditional" predesigned models I print less of the custom buildings.
I guess that is the hardest buisness decission for all the terrain builders though.... 😀

Very good points, Ideally what you like to see as the pricing model? We're currently looking at several options but are open to input.

Our goal is to make this as accessible as possible to users whilst also making it sustainable as a platform and product. We aim to have the asset library expand based on user feedback and requests so that people do custom build their own terrain based on their gameplay styles and ongoing narratives.

I‘m looking forward to the kickstarter. Your software could be my start to 3d printing. But the pricing will be the key. I dont like monthly payment. Normally I save money until I want to buy something for my hobby and when times becomw tough hobby money is the first to cut. But when I own the software I could use it also in tough times.
I could imagine a base price for the software and maybe one or two styles. Each new style could cost a little extra. Maybe with discount when buying more. Updates shouldnt be that expensive.
Also I could think of a business license where I can build/ print terrain and sell it.

This is very much where we're leaning towards. The initial Kickstarter will provide an offering that reflects the unlocked stretch goals (hopefully a lot of content for backers), but sales after the Kickstarter will most-likely be smaller bundles that expand upon core sets.

Subscriptions may be an option to get bundles delivered regularly at a discount.

We also have plans for commercial licences where users can sell printed terrain (not digital files) from BeamDown, but otherwise it is personal use.

My problem is that I can't even agree what would be a good pricing module.
So far I've seen subscription model with optional set purchases and only set purchases.
I see the advantages in both models. Problem is that I usually only create a limited amount of models that I accutally print.
Therefore I would prefer to have full access on the sets in the builder and only pay for models after I constructed them in the builder.
But I only came to this conclusion after using some of the tools. The first time I saw that pricing model proposed I was against it.
In addition it is more expensive for the company that as to provide the tool as a lot of people will create models but only a small amount will acctually print them. Which does create traffic that has to be paid for.

Taking all this into account I think my prefered buisness model would be a full access subscription with a set amount of exportable files included.
For example paying X€ to have access to all models/elements in the builder and Y created models I can download per month. Off cause with the option to purchace more downloads once I reached my limit.

Again I'm still looking forward to the Kickstarter as the builder looks intuitive. 🙂
