Star Wars: Shatterpoint wird Specialist Core Game.

A key driver of the reorganization is to allow Atomic Mass Games to enhance focus on its flagship titles, Star Wars™: Legion and Marvel: Crisis Protocol, delivering the depth, innovation, and high-quality gameplay experiences that players expect. As part of this realignment, Atomic Mass Games' Star Wars™: Shatterpoint product line will be transitioning into a specialist core game line. As a specialist game, Shatterpoint will continue to be supported to ensure consistent availability and the highest level of gameplay experience possible by AMG, while streamlining the number of releases to align with the restructured development resources of the studio.

When the Star WarsTM: Shatterpoint miniatures game launched on June 2, 2023 we at Atomic Mass Games set out with a vision to create a character-focused, fast-paced skirmish game that allowed players to recreate high-stakes, personal confrontations between the iconic heroes and villains of the Star Wars saga. To create a robust sandbox, filled with both iconic and beloved characters from across the big and small screen of Star Wars media.

The announcement of the Sequel Trilogy characters has brought us to a unique point within the game’s life. With Shatterpoint now covering every era of Star Wars from the Fall of the Jedi to the Rise of the First Order we have realized our vision for what we hoped Shatterpoint could and would be. And while the saga of Shatterpoint is nowhere near its conclusion, this moment represents a key turning point in how we at Atomic Mass Games will continue to achieve success for the game going forward.

As we look toward the future of Atomic Mass Games and Shatterpoint three years and over 130 characters and counting, we have come to the conclusion that the Sequel Trilogy provides both us and the players a fantastic celebratory bookend to an incredible era. One that saw aggressive and monumental expansion and growth in just a few short years. It is now time to remove our foot from the gas in terms of the number and pacing of Shatterpoint new releases. With our original vision and hopes for the game achieved, the next phase of Shatterpoint is to be focused on sustainable growth and management. One that allows us to ensure the best for the game and its incredible community.

Let us be perfectly clear. Shatterpoint is not going anywhere.

We remain fully committed to supporting and shepherding this game that continues to captivate players and bring action and excitement to their tabletops. Shatterpoint will continue to receive regular game rule updates and an annual character balance to ensure players the most enjoyable and fun experience possible. With a preview of the next Shatterpoint character rebalance to be presented during the AdeptiCon Roadmap presentation.

Additionally, we remain committed to continuing to support, develop, and grow the global Shatterpoint community through continuously investing in Organized Play at all levels, from the kitchen table with print and play experiences like Galactic Legends and Key Operations, to regular in-store play via tournaments and leagues, all the way to convention level and global events like our Grand Tournament and World Championship events.

We want to thank everyone for supporting Star Wars: Shatterpoint over the past few years, from the retailers, stocking the game on store shelves and running demos, the tournament organizers putting in hours of work for organized play and of course to the community who joined us on this journey, and are excited to begin the next chapter of Star Wars: Shatterpoint.

Mal sehen wie lange das gilt
