Lore Attribute - Raise Dead
Place a counter on the battlefield every time a friendly Wizard successfully casts a spell from the Lore of Undeath (a coin will do). Any friendly Wizard who casts a summoning spell from the Lore of Undeath may choose, after having successfully cast the spell, to spend one or more counters. For every counter spent, he increases by 10 the amount of points that the spell may summon.

Signature Spell Call of the Grave (9+)
Call of the Grave is a summoning spell with a range of 12". Base spell summons a 50 point infantry unit from the Undead Legions list. Bigger versions summon a 100 or 150 point unit. Difficulty for the medium version is unreadable, for the 150 point version it's 16+.

1. Dark Breath (6+)
Dark Breath is a blessing that targets a friendly unit with the Undead rule within 12" of the caster. The unit immediately regains 1D3+1 wounds. In addition, if the unit is not engaged in combat, it can perform a normal movement as if it were the Remaining Moves phase.

2. Hand of Dust (7+)
Hand of Dust is a blessing that targets the caster. In combat, the wizard may choose to forego all of it's normal attacks in order to perform a single attack with the Hand of Dust against a single miniature in base to base contact. If the attack roll hits, the enemy takes a wound with the Multiple Wounds (D6) rule with no armor saves allowed. If Hand of Dust kills an enemy character in a challenge, immediately gain D6 Raise Dead counters.

3. Soul Stealer (8+)
Soul Stealer is a direct damage spell with a 12" range. Roll 2D6+2. For each point the result exceeds the target's Leadership, the target takes a wound with no armor saves allowed. If this spell causes at least one unsaved wound, gain D3 Raise Dead counters.

4. Abyssal Swarm (10+)
Abyssal Swarm is a summoning spell with a range of 12". The caster summons a unit of War Beasts or Swarms from the Undead Legions list of up to 75 points. Caster may instead choose to summon a unit of Monstrous Beasts of up to 150 points, in which case the difficulty is 16+.

5. The Herald (10+)
The Herald is a summoning spell with a range of 12". The caster summons a character of up to 65 points from the Undead Legions list. The caster may instead choose to summon a single Monster, Chariot or War Machine of up to 200 points, in which case the difficulty is 24+.

6. Dark Riders (16+)
Dark Riders is a summoning spell with a range of 12". The caster summons a unit of Cavalry, Monstruous Cavalry or Chariots from the Undead Legions list of up to 150 points.

You may remember last year I was being very vague about some 'radical changes' in a thread about 9th edition.

Back at the start of the year, in one of my first posts of the new year I said this:

I don't think they are trying to destroy it.*
I suspect they will be trying their hardest to breath new life into it.
We are not seeing the "End times" for Warhammer just yet.

Did you see what I did there?*
The clues are always there fellas.

So I first heard about all this last autumn?
I was told 2014 would be "Year zero" for Warhammer.

Had no idea what that meant at first but if you Google your way to the wikipedia you get this:

The term Year Zero (Khmer: ឆ្នាំសូន្យ chhnam saun), applied to the takeover of Cambodia in April 1975 by the Khmer Rouge, is an analogy to the Year One of the French Revolutionary Calendar. During the French Revolution, after the abolition of the French monarchy (September 20, 1792), the National Convention instituted a new calendar and declared the beginning of the Year I. The Khmer Rouge takeover of Phnom Penh was rapidly followed by a series of drastic revolutionary de-industrialization policies resulting in a death toll that vastly exceeded that of the French Reign of Terror.

The idea behind Year Zero is that all culture and traditions within a society must be completely destroyed or discarded and a new revolutionary culture must replace it, starting from scratch. All history of a nation or people before Year Zero is deemed largely irrelevant, as it will (as an ideal) be purged and replaced from the ground up.

It was made clear to me that that was what were were talking about for warhammer.
Everything that existed being completely destroyed (or discarded) and something new replacing it from scratch ... purged and replaced from the ground up.

I hinted in various posts that they would be getting rid of the existing timeline, the existing map, etc. (In an effort to soften the blow.*)

I am going to get this a bit wrong because I honestly can't remember where I heard it but to confirm the three book rumour .... I did hear the "End times" were going to be spread over three books.

Nagash was the first, followed by Malekith followed by Glotkin

Good luck with that!*

- - - Aktualisiert - - -

Steve the Warboss: 13.9.2014

Das Buch enthält;
– Einige alte Chaoskrieger Charaktere kehren zurück (van Horstmann, Arbaal, and Aekold Helbrass)

I just got word from my most favourite birdy.

The named character is not Valnir. The big two-headed beast is Glotkin, so if it was Vilitch, there was a change of name in the process. The other two kits are Nurgle themed.

My personal interpretation: we get a big monstrous kit (named Glotkin), a box of Nurgle Chosen, and another plastic clampack character. Not as "wow" as the Undead releases, but then Chaos already has plenty to choose from - Nurgle especially so.

Neuigkeiten zu Endtimes II

antaonix im Warseer Forum

Who has 100% credit about release in recent days posted this in my country's forum. I can't tell who he is and this is first time i posting here so maybe you guys don't believe this rumor.
i translated it to english so maybe awkward.

peaking at next fantasy release after dark eldar. there will be huge plastic kit bigger than Stompa. very creepy design. warrior, socerer, daemon can mount on it.

Nagash Sequel's main army is nurgle. new chaos warrior will be release, but not a replacement of current kit.

and also considering about limited edition like fantasy's storm claw
Eine Nurgle Transport-Kreatur in Stompa-Größe!? 😀 Und eine Stormclaw-ähnliche Box?

Mal abwarten aber es klingt interessant

antaonix postete erneut

it exactly means, like stormclaw in 40k(Space Wolves vs Orks) there may be another limited box set for fantasy.

Re: Rumor for New End time release

This pretty much what I have said earlier except have not heard about this stormclaw type box. Only huge mutant / rider kit, nurgle chosen and book. There was something else but they were unsure on it so could be this box set or something else, I don't know.

As I was told, and was said here, the mutant / rider kit is supposed to be HUGE by all accounts I have been told about it. Bigger than the stompa? I cannot confirm as have not seen with my own eyes but from discription I was given it is very possible!!

And I was told the new chaos stuff should in fact be going up for pre order not this weekend but next, which should be the 10th.

Some of the other rumour threads spiralled off topic, or contained bogus rumours. I'm trying with a fresh start, summarising the things I have from a very trusted birdy. According to this source, the models released over the next weeks are:

"Glotkin" ... a named character, not a mount option for anybody, the biggest kit to be released (though not as big as a Stompa, as rumoured by others)Nurgle (?) Chosen ... the uncertainty here is whether they are actually dedicated to Nurgle, or "only" very mutateda new big mount ... for "multiple types of riders", but most likely to be WoC onlynamed character in clampack ... no details here

The upcoming WD points to "Scions of Chaos" next week, which is most likely the first batch of these going on advance orders on the evening of October the 10th. I've been told the Chosen and the clampack character are the week #1 releases. With a bit of uncertainty: the "big mount" for week #2, and Glotkin plus book in week #3.

There is no box like the 40K "Stormclaw" one coming.

attachment.php

End Times: Nagash Re-Release in Softback

Make of this what you will:

It seems GW stores were sent an email today, saying the End Times: Nagash Book would be getting Re-released as a softback, due it being so popular.
