Saga is a game for model soldiers set in the Viking Age when strength and bravery were worth a thousand men. This rulebook contains all the necessary information you need to discover the SAGA gaming system. You will find not only all the game rules, but also a selection of scenarios to get you started plus four of the factions involved in the wars of the Viking Age (Anglo-Danish, Vikings, Welsh and Normans – with more to be published.) With plenty of illustrations, step-by-step examples and diagrams, learning the game mechanisms is simple and intuitive.
Less than thirty models per side are needed to start playing, so get ready to immerse yourself in this age of heroes and write your own saga.
SAGA uses ordinary D6 dice and special SAGA Dice and to play the game, each player will need their own set of SAGA Dice. SAGA Dice are six sided and covered in special Warband specific symbols. There is a section in the rulebook explaining a Do-It-Yourself solution for SAGA Dice or you can buy one of our lovely specially commissioned SAGA Dice sets.

Wie sagte mal jemand in einem englischen Forum: "Es gibt nichts besseres am historischen Tabletop als die Tatsache, dass wenn man lange genug sucht, auch einen Hersteller für den vierten Mikronesischen Bürgerkrieg findet, der Miniaturen für alle 10 Beteiligten anbietet."

Am hist. Tabletop find ich halt die Riesenauswahl an verschiedenen Herstellern interessant, so dass man sich optisch das für sich beste zusammenstellen kann, anstatt (wie bei unser aller Lieblingssystem ^_^) nur auf ein Hersteller angewiesen ist. (So mach ich das ja z. B. bei Secrets of the Third Reich, durch das WWII Weird Setting kann man sich ja bei Bolt Action, Westwind und AE WWII bedienen :wub: (Vorausgesetzt, der Maßstab stimmt 🙄))

Gripping Beast hat echt schöne Sachen. Ich habe mich mit einigen moderneren Figuren in England eingedeckt und warte auf die Gelegenheit, diese zu bemalen.

William The Bastard
A fantastic scuplt by Bill Thornhill, William comes with a plastic base from Renedra. The William pictured here is the personal collection of Lord S's - not that he would be seen dead using Normans... and was painted by Mystic Spirals.

SAGA Baggage
This heavy blister contains a cart drawn by two ponies, a hand cart, a plethora of barrels, sacks, boxes and furs and four civilians plus three large plastic bases from Renedra. You can put them together in any number of ways but whatever you do, you should end up with three baggage elements perfect for The Escort scenario in the SAGA rulebook.

'Northern Fury' is the first expansion for Tomahawk Studio & Gripping Beast's 'SAGA: Dark Age Skirmishes' and it is now available to pre-order.

'Northern Fury' contains details of four new factions for your SAGA games: the Bretons, the Jomsvikings, the Scots and the Anglo-Saxons. Along with a description of each faction, there are all the rules you need to muster yourself a warband (including new Heroes,) plus of course a brand new Battleboard for each faction. Each of these new factions presents new and interesting challenges, both to command and to face across the table.


Also in 'Northern Fury' is a new, multi-player scenario called 'Wooden Oaths.' Multi-player SAGA games are great for club-nights and bring their own set of challenges and rewards and this scenario is a great way to start if you've never tried multi-player SAGA games before.

Ich hab bisher nur ein paar wenige Metallfiguren in der Hand gehabt und habe eine der Plastikboxen, die haben mir allerdings sehr gefallen. 🙂

Ich hab bisher nur ein paar wenige Metallfiguren in der Hand gehabt und habe eine der Plastikboxen, die haben mir allerdings sehr gefallen. 🙂

Ich weiß ja nicht genau was du mit "Qualität der Modelle" meinst aber Gripping Beast ist normalerweise sehr gut was Guß und Verarbeitung betrifft. Außerdem lassen sie sich super bemalen und sehen auf dem Spielfeld immer schick aus.
Ich hattte mir neulich die Normannen Box gekauft, sehr schönes Set.
