SAGA: Skraeling Warband
Comes with colour, double-sided A4 rules sheet and A4 card Battleboard.
In the Norse sagas, the term skraeling was given to the native people of Vinland with whom the Vikings came into contact when they explored the coast of Newfoundland in the 11thcentury. Later, the Vikings shared Greenland with the skraelings (or skraelingjarin Old Norse,) where the earlier conflicts in Vinland largely seem to have been put behind them, although Viking traders were forbidden to trade weapons with the skraelingjar, no matter how lush and attractively priced the furs on offer.
This new boxed 4pt Warband comes complete with full colour A4 sheet of rules and a card Battleboard. The 37 figures come with a plastic base each and Skraeling weapons & shields - a warlord, three units of 8 different Warriors and one unit of 12 Levy (4 models x three.)
Bill Thornhill has done a great job of sculpting these savage warriors (and painting them too,) and Alex has created yet another entertaining and fun Battleboard that presents new challenges for Skraeling players and their opponents. Best of all, the battleboard works with any one set of SAGA dice!!
Warband, rules & Battleboard are available for £50
here.
Please note, we are only having one limited print run of the rules and battleboard. Once they have gone, they will be available to download from the SAGA forum but will not be physically reprinted by us.
We have put aside a portion of the rules and battleboards to go to our distributors and from there to your local retailers.
