Re-release: Sd.Kfz 251/10

Adding anti-tank capability to the forces of the Panzergrenadiers, the Sd.Kfz 251/10 mounted a 37mm Pak 36 on a standard Hanomag body.

attachment.php

Give enemy armour something to worry about (in addition to the legions of deadly panzers) with this 251/10 halftrack. We’ve now removed the integral base from all of our Sd.Kfz 251 halftracks giving a much more pleasing look. We’ve also sculpted two new crewmen for this self-propelled gun so you get even more for your money!

Sturmtiger

Is that a 38cm rocket projectile in your pocket or are you just pleased to see the Sturmtiger ? This absolute beast is now available for you to add to your force. Got a village that needs levelling or a bunkers that needs cracking? You’ve just found the answer…

attachment.php

Sloped heavy armour? Check. Naval rocket launcher? Check. Building in the way? History!

attachment.php

The Sturmtiger is one scary looking machine of war. The original role of the Sturmtiger was intended to be as a heavy infantry support vehicle, to help with attacks on heavily fortified or built-up areas. But by the time it saw service, Germany had gone on the defensive. Still the few Sturmtigers that made it off the production line took part in such important actions as the Battle of the Bulge and Battle of the Reichswald.

Pre-Order Japanese

The latest army to join the ranks of the Bolt Action range is the Imperial Japanese Army.
“Banzai!” A cry that caused great fear in allied troops during WW2.The Imperial Japanese army were adept in many forms of warfare, and the use of this battlecry was all part of their fierce battle tactics. They were excellent soldiers, with extraordinary willpower and devotion to their country and to their Emperor.

attachment.php

They smashed the British Commonwealth and American forces in the early years of the war using devastating tactics that confounded the allied troops and who had no answer to the fast moving fanatical Japanese infantryman. They were well trained and suitably equipped for their campaigns, making up for a paucity of heavy weapons with dash and raw courage that was alien to their foes

attachment.php

As with most armies the sections used the light and medium machine guns to lay down suppressive fire whilst their rifle armed comrades covered the gun, fed them ammunition before outflanking and then charging a rattled opponent. They made good use of the small mortars to shake up the enemy before closing in with deadly long bayonets fixed to their Arisaka rifles.

Warlord’s Imperial Japanese Army boxed set provides you with:
* Command group
* Medium Machine gun team
* Knee Mortar
* Riflemen
* Also included are full colour devotional rifle banners and battle flags.
Get a pre-order in now and you’ll be the first to have them delivered to your door.

New Bolt Action Jagdpanther

Arguably the best all-round tank destroyer of the Second World War, the Jagdpanther is capable of taking out anything the Allies can field.
attachment.php

attachment.php

attachment.php

The Jagdpanther is anti-tank destroyer based on the Panther chassis. It came into service in 1944 on both the Western and Eastern Fronts.
attachment.php

Our own Paul Sawyer considers it to be the best tank destroyer of the war, with it’s 8.8cm cannon, low profile and heavy, sloped armour. He may be right (despite what his wife consistently tells him…). The argument over the relative merits of the various tank destroyers to see action during the war will doubtless rage on but you can’t deny it’s one good-looking AFV.

Neu:

Panther Ausf A mit Zimmerit

Panther Ausf A with zimmerit anti-magnetic mine paste. Doesn’t she look a beauty? Your army looks incomplete without at least one of these.

attachment.php

attachment.php

This is one of the classic “Big Cats” of the panzer forces. The Panther entered service in 1943 taking a lead role in the huge armoured clash at Kursk in Russia. Its long 75mm high velocity gun and thick sloped armour coupled with a good speed made the Panther a much feared enemy.

attachment.php

This is the later version of the tank, bizarrely the marques for the Panther did not follow the usual alphabetical order. Changes on the original Panther include a redesigned hull machine gun and a commanders cupola.

attachment.php

This Panther has been coated with Zimmerit, a paste applied to the vehicle after production to add protection from magnetic mines. Ironically the Germans were the largest users of magnetic anti-tank mines and rarely fought against them. It has no anti-magnetic properties of its own but covers the metal of the tank and so doesn’t allow magnetic mines to gain purchase.

British 6 Pdr Anti-Tank Gun

With all the Panzers being released recently the hard-pressed Tommies need something to level the playing field.

Churchill Crocodile

Ever since we first showed you the preview of our new Churchill Mk VII model you’ve been asking when we’re going to do a Chruchill Crocodile flame-throwing tank. Well, today’s the day you can stop asking! This fearsome vehicle can now be added to you army .
attachment.php

attachment.php

The Churchill Crocodile is a Churchill tank but with the hull mounted Besa Heavy Machine Gun replaced with a flame thrower. The fuel for the flame thrower was transported in a six and a half ton trailer towed behind the tank. Containing 400 gallons of fuel this provided enough for eighty one-second bursts of flame with a range of 120 yards!

attachment.php

attachment.php

Replacing the hull machine gun left the turret mounted machine gun and the 75mm gun still fully functioning which makes this an incredibly versatile war machine.
Such was the fear inspired bythis ferocious weapon that the presence of a Crocodile would often be enough to force defenders to surrender but woe-betide any of the crew who were captured…

attachment.php

800 units were produced although 250 of these were held back in case they were needed against the Japanese in the Pacific Theatre.

attachment.php

Note that although not shown in the images above the Crocodile comes with a tank commander miniature.

Warlord Games expandieren wieder einmal. Die neuste Erwerbung ist BEF Miniatures, welche vor allem 28mm-Miniaturen für den frühen Zweiten Weltkrieg veröffentlicht haben.

Warlord Games buy BEF Miniatures!

We’re delighted to be able to announce that Warlord Games have purchased BEF Miniatures from owner and designer, Ian Crouch.
BEFtitle-300x155.jpg

This move allows us to bring the early stages of World War II to our customers with the intention to not only extend the great 28mm range Ian has built but also take it to a new level.
597311a.jpg

With dozens of vehicles and a range of miniatures covering British, German and Belgian armies BEF meshes very well with our existing Bolt Action range which, whilst predominantly focusing on the late war, has French and Polish ranges for the early war. Expect all nationalities to see new releases before too long as Ian will continue to make vehicles for the range and we already have several almost ready to release! As you’ll appreciate moving a large range of miniatures, masters, moulds, etc will impact on production and as a result the BEF website has been taken offline. As soon as we’re able you’ll start to see the BEF range appear on the Warlord Games webstore and, of course, you’ll hear all about it first in our weekly email newsletter. The sooner the better as we’re all very excited about this new line.
Matilda+II+A12.jpg

For the late war and Pacific fans amongst you, never fear – we’ll continue to bring you loads of new goodies! We have plenty coming through at the moment and the pace won’t slacken due to the BEF acquisition!
Warlord-Logo-Small-300x158.jpg

We’d like to thank Ian for not only his boundless enthusiasm for the period but the gentlemanly way he’s conducted business in closing this deal. Not bad for a soft Southerner…

They made good use of the small mortars to shake up the enemy before closing in with deadly long bayonets fixed to their Arisaka rifles.
By the war’s end they were a battered, shattered army, with few supplies and terrible casualties. Their reputation for bravery was legendary, as was sadly their appalling record of civilian and military atrocities which will always be associated with the amazing resilience and skill of the Japanese soldier.

Warlord’s Imperial Japanese boxed Sets provides you 20 finely detailed metal models such as: -
• Command Section
• MMG team
• Knee Mortar
• Rifleman Squad
Also included are devotional rifle banners and full colour flags.

The first support pack in the range is the Type 92 Heavy Machine Gun. It was the standard machine gun of the Japanese Army. It was used in a range of duties even seeing use as an Anti Aircraft weapon (it had a maximum range of 4,500 metres!). The Allied soldiers who fought against it nicknamed it the “woodpecker” on account of the noise it made.
The Type 92 HMG gets it’s name from the year it was first manufactured – 2592 Japanese Imperial Year (1932).

British Sherman Firefly £20.00

Bane of the heavy German armour, the Sherman Firefly was the British invention that mounted the powerful 17 pdr anti-tank gun in a Sherman I or V. Our model is based on the later Sherman V and is now available to tear apart Panthers, Tigers et al at your command…

attachment.php

This is a variant of the American Sherman equipped with a powerful 17 pounder anti-tank gun. It soon became highly valued as the only British tank capable of defeating the Panther and Tiger tanks it faced in Normandy at standard combat ranges. In recognition of this, German tank and anti-tank gun crews were instructed to attack Fireflies first. Between 2100 and 2200 were manufactured before production wound down in 1945.

attachment.php

We’ve also included a tank commander with the kit. This is the perfect British medicine to deal with the plethora of German tanks we’ve recently released!

Early Production Tiger I: 25 Pfund

Pak 40: 16 Pfund

Imperiale Armee Waffenteam: 7 Pfund
