[Fantasy] Neues Regelwerk Warriors of Chaos

Mir is noch was sehr lustiges(oder eher trauriges) aufgefallen.

Chaoslord auf Drache, Mal des Tzeentch, Glaive of Purification, Bronze Armour of Zhrakk, Goldeye, Book of Secrets, Diabolic Splendour (705 Punkte)

*g* Favour of Gods -> Standardausrüstung!

Q: Should Deamon Prince, Hellcannon, Deamonic Mounts have magical attacks, they don't have it in the book?

A. No, they are different in this book.

Q: Do I receive a roll on Eye of The Gods Table when my hero with EotG rule kills an enemy champion (unit upgrade, not character in every means)?

A. Nope, that would be too powerful

Q: How we should count Victory Points for Hellcannon and its crew?

A. It is treated like a monster with handlers

Q: What is the correct movement rate of Hellcannon and its crew? Can Hellcannon move more than 6" as long as the dwarfs are in 1" from it?

A. Huh? Don't understand this one!

Q: When Hellcannon is charging, can we move hellcannon 12" and if the dwarfs don't have sufficient movement we will place them in the back of hellcannon as charging with a skirmishing unit?

A. You move at the speed of the slowest model in the unit. So a foot unit with a cavalry guy in it couldn't move as fast as the cav guy, same deal here.

Q: What is the proper base size for Disc of Tzeentch (old one has 50x50mm)?

A. Whatever we now sell it with I guess!

Q: Are Blood Crushing Roar and Word of Agony magical attacks?

A: No, otherwise they would say they were magical

Q: When we roll misfire on Hellcannon and then 3 (all spellcasters suffer a miscast), what will happen if we roll: 5-6, 10-11, 12 (can we cast our own spells, which spell we lose/cast with irresistible force)?

A: Roll for a wizard - if he rolls a 5-6 then the opponent gets to cast a spell. Otherwise resolve the effects but as there is no spell being cast it cannot be resolved with Irresistable Force etc.

Q: Can we target characters inside units with 1st spell from lore of nurgle

A: Yes

Q: Ensorcelled weapons - when we upgrade ensorcelled weapons to lances, what is the knights' Strength when they charge? S7 or S6? And in subsequent rounds of combat is it S5 or S4? Do attacks made with lances count as magical?

A: lances are not ensorcelled!

Q: In the AB it says: upgrade ensorcelled weapons to lances. Shouldn't it be 'swap' or 'change' rather? Word 'upgrade' might get people confused a bit (at least that happened to me Razz).

A: Yes, good call. Go for 'exchange' if you will.

Q: Favour of the Gods - when we give Favour of the Gods to Chosen champion, can we change the result on the Eye of the Gods table, which applies to the whole unit?

A: Yes

Q: What is the proper base size for Hellcannon?

A: I don't know the answer! Maybe 50x50 or a chariot base? Alessio might be able to help on this one...

Q: Can Hellcannon shoot after movement?

A: No

Q: Are the daemons of the proper god immune to effects of certain magical items (example: Festering Shroud) and spells (example Plague Sqall)?

A: No

Q: Is the model equipped with Necrolic Phylactery immune to the effects of demonic lore of Nurgle too?

A: No

Q: Does "Father of Blades" special effect (self-hits on 1's) works only against close combat hits or shooting too?

A: close combat

Q: Does the "Infernal Puppet" effect work on friendly wizards too?

A; Yes

Q: What is the proper base size of the warshrine?

A: Chariot

Q: If a character with mark of nurgle join unit without this mark, that unit also get -1 to shoot?

A: No

Q: How many power dice can a non sorcerer character use to cast a spell, when equiped with the book of secret?

A: 2

Q: Can you use both "shooting" gifts (Roar + Stream) and throw Death's head at the same time?

A; Yes

Q: Eye of the gods state that "Duplicate effects must be rerolled". Is the "Eye is closed" (nothing happens) considered an effect, therefore you reroll it if you get it for the second time? Or does the effect strictly means stupidity, +1 to charecteristic etc., therefore you could end up with two "eye is closed" rolls?

A: No

Q: Having stupidity from a spell or helm of many eyes, can you get it again from the Eye of the gods roll?

A: Yes

Schön wäre es natürlich, besonders für Favour of the gods.

Q1. Are duplicate results of "The Eye is Closed" rerolled?
Commentary : The rules for the Eye specify that any roll is a gift, and any duplicate gifts are rerolled.
S. WoC pp43

Q2. If a large target flees or breaks and is run down, by a character, does the character get to claim the EotG bonus?
Commentary : The Eye of the Gods rule only specifies that the character cannot simply run down enemy characters to claim the bonus.
S. WoC pp43

Q3. If a character is in a unit and an enemy model with the Large special rule is slain, must the character do the final wound to gain the roll on the Eye of the Gods table?
Commentary : The Eye of the Gods rule only specifies that the character must influct the final wound on characters.
S. WoC pp43

Q4. If the answer to the above is no, if more than one character is in a unit that kills a large target, do both the characters get to claim credit and roll on the EotG table?
S. WoC pp43

Q5. If a large target crumbles due to combat resolution (such as a zombie dragon, or greater daemon) does the character get to claim the EotG bonus?
S. WoC pp43

Q6. Does killing a champion in a challenge count for the EotG bonus?
Commentary : The rule specifies character, but it seems odd.
S. WoC pp43

Q7. What happens if a troll or model with the Helm of Many Eyes (Stupid) rolls Stupidity on the Eye of the Gods table?
Commentary : The rules say that duplicate gifts are rerolled, but do not mention whether having the rule already counts as duplication.
S. WoC. pp43.

Q8. How do rolls on the Eye of the Gods table affect mounts (either of characters or units blessed by the war shrine)?
Commentary : No indication is given either way. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp43

Q9. If a character (with the Eye of the Gods rule) is involved in a combat where there are friendly champions (without the Eye of the Gods rule), must the character challenge or can the champion?
Commentary : The rules state that the character must issue a challenge where able, but if the champion challenges then the character cannot.
S. WoC pp43

Q10. Chosen: If at the beginning of the game, they roll a ‘2’ and then a ‘7’ are they stuck with that?
Commentary : Any dice may only be rerolled once.
S. WoC pp47

Q11. On what size base should a Steed of Slaanesh be mounted?
Commentary : The Steed is a 1-wound mount, making it cavalry. Two models exist that could be the "Steed of Slaanesh", one comes with 25x50, the other 50x50. The notes on page 54 state that the other Gods' mounts and generic Daemonic mount are not mounted on 25x50mm bases, but make no mention of the Steed of Slaanesh.
S. WoC pp54

Q12. If the Warshrine grants an EotG roll to a unit with a character in it; does the character gain the bonus as well?
Commentary : The character is part of the unit, but the Warshrine does not specify.
S. WoC pp58.

Q13. If the Warshrine grants an EotG roll to a unit and the result is a duplicate to a previous roll a character or champion in the unit already has, should you re-roll it?
Commentary : Duplicates are rerolled, but technically the gift is not being given to the character/champion specifically
S. WoC pp58, 43

Q14. Does the Warshrine's Giver of Glory rule affect champions from both sides?
Commentary : The text does not specify "friendly".
S. WoC pp58

Q15. If the answer to the above is yes, what constitutes a "Chaos champion"? Do Daemons of Chaos and Beasts of Chaos count?
S. WoC pp58

Q16. If the Warshrine is destroyed or otherwise removed from play, does the last unit to be blessed by it retain the gift?
Commentary : The rules say that rerolling the result for the blessed unit negates the previous effect, but they do not specify that the effect ends if the Warshrine is slain.
S. WoC pp58

Q17. Do wounds suffered by a Giant count to CR if they are subsequently healed by the Giant's Chomp attack in the same phase?
Commentary : On one hand they were still inflicted, on the other the Giant is not hurt by the time CR is calculated.
S. WoC pp65

Q18. If a giant rolls a double with "Thump with Club" and the combat ends that round, but he pursues/overruns into another combat, must he still forego his attacks in the next round of combat?
Commentary : Other effects specify they do not apply if the combat ends, the "stuck club" condition does not.
S. WoC pp65

Q19. If a Giant "Hurls" a rank and file model with multiple wounds, a ward save, or regeneration and it survives, what happens?
Commentary : The resultant model is separated from its unit, a condition that cannot normally occur.
S. WoC pp65

Q20. If a Giant "Hurls" a model, does it benefit from any protective banners (eg. Drakenhof) or abilities (eg. Locus of Nurgle) in its unit?
Commentary : It isn't clear when exactly the wound is suffered.
S. WoC pp65

Q21. The Hellcannon is a monster but "fires like a stone thrower". Does this mean it is move-or-fire?
Commentary : The rules are not clear, please clarify.
S. WoC pp66

Q22. Do Tomb King Liche Priests suffer a miscast if the Hellcannon rolls a 3 on its misfire chart?
Commentary : Liche Priests are wizards, but do not normally miscast due to their unusual magic. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp66

Q23. If a Hellcannon misfires rolls a 3, what happens if any wizards roll the result that the other player can cast a spell for free? How (if at all) can this be dispelled?
Commentary : As the Hellcannon will misfire in the shooting phase, their will be no power or dispel dice in play.
S. WoC pp66

Q24. What base should a Hellcannon be on?
Commentary : The model is not supplied with a base, and the rules give no guidance. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp66

Q25. Archaon's Chosen of the Gods rule says that "enemy are at -1 to hit with attacks in close combat". Does this apply only to attacks against Archaon?
Commentary : Ordinarily the text would say "attacks against [the model]", but this condition is absent. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp69

Q26. If Archaon releases U'Zuhl and rolls one or more 1's to hit, are any wounds counted to combat resolution, and if so which side benefits?
Commentary : Combat resolution is normally awarded to the side inflicting the wounds, but Archaon will be wounding his own side. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp69

Q27. Can Galrauch join units?
Commentary : Galrauch is a character, not a monster. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp70

Q28. Can Wulfrik use Seafang to enter the table with a unit of Marauder Horsemen?
Commentary : The description says "a single unit of Marauders". It is unclear whether this means Chaos Marauders, Marauder Horsemen, or both. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp74

Q29. Is Starcrusher a magic weapon?
Commentary : This is important for various spells and effects that target magic weapons specifically.
S. WoC pp75

Q30. Must Scyla issue challenges?
Commentary : Eye of The Gods specifies that Chaos Models must issue challenges if able, Scyla's Hero's Fate rule says she can issue challenges.
S. WoC pp76

Q31. Chaos lores are treated "exactly the same as lores published in the warhammer rulebook". Does this mean that any model with the ability to choose a lore from the Warhammer Rulebook can choose a Chaos lore (eg Empire Battle Wizards)?
Commentary : Treating a lore exactly as if it appears in the Rulebook has many far-reaching consequences. Was this the intent?
S. WoC pp106

Q32. Do Sorcerors and Sorceror Lords have access to magical shields?
Commentary : The rules on page 106 say that sorcerors are unusual in that they wear chaos armour and use magical armour and shields like other champions, however they have no options for shields and so cannot buy magical shields.
S. WoC pp106

Q33. Do Daemon Princes that are given magic levels get Chaos Armour?
Commentary : The rules on page 106 say that sorcerors wear Chaos Armour, and Daemon Princes with magic levels are sorcerors.
S. WoC pp106

Q34. Does the phrase "single model" in Magnificent Buboes mean that the target must not be in a unit?
Commentary : This is the normal meaning of the phrase.
S. WoC pp107

Q35. If the answer to the above is no, can the spell pick out characters in a unit? Can it be cast into combat?
Commentary : It isn't clear which, if any, targeting restrictions the spell must adhere to. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp107

Q36. Will Curse of the Leper automatically kill a war machine such as a cannon as soon as it is cast?
Commentary : Reducing a model's strength to 0 or less removes it from play. Most war machines have Strength 0, so Curse will reduce their strength to less than 0 immediately.
S.WoC pp107

Q37. Pandaemonium: If an enemy unit, character or spellcaster has magic resistance (such as a Bretonnian Damsel) can they use it when this spell is cast?
Commentary : MR applies if a unit is "affected" by a spell. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp108

Q38. What happens if Call to Glory is cast on the last remaining non-character in a unit containing characters?
Commentary : An illegal unit would be formed as a result. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp108

Q39. What happens when Call to Glory is dispelled after the magic phase in which it was cast?
Commentary : The spell description says to remove the target from play and replace with an Exalted Hero. No guidance is given for what happens if and when the spell is dispelled.
S. WoC pp108

Q40. If Call to Glory is dispelled after the affected model has suffered a wound, what happens? Is the suffered wound carried over, possibly killing the (single wound) model?
Commentary : It is unclear what effects carry over between the enchanted and mundane model.
S. WoC pp108

Q41. Can a Call to Glory Exalted Hero leave the unit he is with?
Commentary : The model is a character, and would normally be allowed to do so.
S. WoC pp108

Q42. If the answer to the above is yes, what happens if the spell is dispelled while the Hero is away from his original unit?
Commentary : If the model reverts to non-character status, then he is separated from his unit illegally.
S. WoC pp108

Q43. Infernal Gateway: If this spell has strength 11+ and the target unit has a Vampire with the Ring of Carstein, does he get to use his ring?
Commentary : It is unclear whether special saves such as the Ring apply when a model is "removed from play". Please clarify.
S. WoC pp108

Q44. Infernal Gateway: If this spell rolls a strength of 11+ does it affect the steam tank?
Commentary : The Steam Tank is immune to spells without a known strength. It is unclear whether the effect is S11/S12 or not. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp108.

Q45. Does Hellshriek dispel spells that grant Immunity to Panic or Immunity to Psychology, as described under "Cancelling Spells"?
Commentary : Ordinarily, when two spells conflict directly in this way, the later spell dispels the first. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp109, BRB pp110

Q46. Is there any time limit on the Terror or attack allocation effects of Aura of Acquiescence?
Commentary : The spell only specifies a time limit for Fear. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp109

Q47. Mark of Nurgle: If a character w/MoN is in a unit with 5+ RnF models in it, do any shooters targeting the unit suffer the -1 to hit due to the MoN?
Commentary : It is unclear whether the character is being targeted in this case. Please clarify.
S. WoC 110

Q48. If a model with Word of Agony is in combat with a Dark elf unit containing an assassin, which occurs first - the Assassin's appearance or the use of the Word of Agony?
Commentary : Both occur "at the beginning of the combat phase" with no guidance on priority. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp110, DE pp61

Q49. Do wounds inflicted by Word of Agony count towards combat resolution?
Commentary : The text says to resolve the Word at the start of the close combat phase, which would be before resolving the combat the model is involved in. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp110

Q50. How are hits from Word of Agony distributed against mounts and their riders?
Commentary : The text states that "a model" suffers the hits, with no guidance on how to allocate them against multi-component models such as characters on monsters or chariots. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp110

Q51. Does Diabolic Splendour apply a -1 modifier to the test or to the unit's Leadership?
Commentary : The text specifies that the modifier is to the test, but this would make it easier to pass. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp111

Q52. How are hits from Bloodcurdling Roar distributed?
Commentary : The attack occurs in the shooting phase, but is not described as shooting. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp111

Q53. Can Bloodcurdling Roar be used in a Stand and Shoot reaction?
Commentary : It is unclear whether it is considered a shooting attack suitable for such an action. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp111

Q54. The Chaos Daemonsword says to roll for the effects at the start of each round. What is a round?
Commentary : "Round" is not defined in the rules. It is unclear whether the bearer should roll at the beginning of every turn, every combat phase, or just before resolving the combat he is involved in, and whether being engaged in combat is a requirement. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp112

Q55. If a model with the Chaos Daemonsword hits and wounds himself, who if anyone gains the Combat Resolution point?
Commentary : CR is normally awarded to the side that inflicts the wounds, but the bearer will be wounding himself. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp112

Q56. How are attacks with the Hatred (or other reroll) special rule resolved against a model with Armour of Damnation?
Commentary : Dice can only be rerolled once, it is unclear how to resolve this conflict. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp113

Q57. Whip of Subversion: If you wound a monster that has a character mounted on it, can you then have the monster attack the mounted character?
Commentary : The text says "other models", but it is unclear whether riders and mounts are considered separate models for this purpose. Please clarify.
S. WoC 113

Q58. Glaive of Putrefaction: How does the S2, T2 affect a unit of multi-wound models like Ogres?
Commentary : Such a unit would have rank and file with different statistics. Please clarify how attacks against such a unit would be resolved.
S. WoC 113

Q59. How is the Glaive of Putrefaction resolved against ridden monsters/chariots? Are all components reduced to S2/T2?
Commentary : The text says that "the model" is reduced to S2/T2. Riders and their mounts are single models. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp113

Q60. If a model with Father of Blades is fighting a model that rerolls misses (eg Hatred), can that opponent reroll 1's to hit?
Commentary : Hatred (et al) allow rerolls of misses, however a roll of 1 versus the Father of Blades is not technically a miss.
S. WoC pp113

Q61. When is the use of the Black Tongue declared? If a model has a reroll ability (Empire Luckstone, etc) can the Black Tongue be applied before the caster has the opportunity to reroll, or must he wait until the point where a dispel attempt would normally be made?
Commentary : The timing is not clear, please clarify.
S. WoC pp114

Q62. The Golden Eye specifies that it does not apply to mounts. Does this mean that all items that affect "the model" but do not specify that they do not affect mounts, do?
Commentary : Several items say they apply to "the model". Please clarify what this means.
S. WoC pp114

Q63. If both sides have a model with the Infernal Puppet, in what order are the affects applied? For example, can one wizard wait until after the miscast has been adjusted by his enemy before declaring that he wishes to adjust it himself?
Commentary : The timing and order is unclear, please clarify.
S. WoC pp114

Q64. Infernal Puppet: How does this item work with the HE Trickster pendant?
Commentary : The Trickster pendant rerolls miscast results, the Puppet adjusts them. The order is important, please clarify.
S. WoC 114 HE book pg. XX

Q65. Does the Bloodskull Pendant inflict a single hit on a multipart model (mounted character, stegadon) or one hit on each component? If a single hit, how is it distributed?
Commentary : It is unclear what "model" means in this context. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp115

Q66. Bloodskull Pendant: If a character with this item is in a challenge, can he use it on those in base to base with him that are not in the challenge?
Commentary : A model can only direct attacks at his opponent in a challenge, while the item inflicts hits on all models in base contact. Please clarify this conflict.
S. WoC 115

Q67. Is a model with the Book of Secrets considered a wizard?
Commentary : The rulebook says that any model capable of casting spells is a Wizard, however the wording of the spell implies that he is not. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp115

Q68. Can a model with the Book of Secrets swap his spell for the first in the lore as normal?
Commentary : The ordinary process of spell selection allows this, but the item description does not. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp115

Q69. If a Sorceror or Sorceror Lord purchases the Book of Secrets and chooses the same lore for both the Book and their own spells, would this allow them to have a duplicate of a spell?
Commentary : It is unclear whether the random selection is part of the normal spell selection process, and whether it is affected by those rules. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp115

Q70. If a non-Sorceror purchases the Book of Secrets, can it then be combined with an Arcane Item?
Commentary : The Book grants knowledge of a spell, which would make the model a wizard. Wizards can take arcane items. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp115

Q71. How many dice can a non-Sorceror who purchases the Book of Secrets use to cast a spell?
Commentary : The Book does not specify a magic level for the model, so the number of dice usable is also undefined. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp115

Q72. What happens if a model with the Book of Secrets suffers miscast 10-11 on the miscast table?
Commentary : The model would ordinarily lose a magic level and a spell, however afterwards the model would still have the Book, and its rules would still be in effect. Infernal Puppet can cause this.
S. WoC pp115, BRB pp109

Q73. If a Chosen Champion carries the item Favour of the Gods, can the modifier be applied to rolls for the unit?
Commentary : The item allows the champion to adjust rolls on the table, but it is not clear whether the unit's rolls are considered "his".
S. WoC pp115,123

Q74. Can a sorceror on Steed of Slaanesh cast magic missiles with 360 arc of sight, as the Steed has the Fast Cavalry rule?
Commentary : Magic missiles follow the rules for shooting, but ordinarily characters do not benefit from the Fast Cavalry rule. Please clarify.
S. WoC pp119

Q75. Can a character with no Mark ride in a Marked chariot?
