We know you all are eagerly waiting for new content and are happy to announce that we’ve been working on a major free content update. The update will introduce new achievements and challenges together with new loot (cosmetics!). This will substantially improve the game and make the end game a lot more rewarding. We have also spent time on optimization. We will give you full patch notes when we release the update.
Our focus is currently on finalizing the major free content update and continuing to improve the game experience. This means the first paid DLC and Season Pass will be released a little bit later than expected.

Aber schonmal angedroht für nächste Woche
Just a heads up. On Thursday May 3 we will make a HUGE beta patch (around 22gb) available on Steam. The patch will include a large amount of optimizations and bug fixes. It will also lay the foundation for future patches, which will not have to be as large thanks to this patch.

  • Green, Blue, and Orange Dust have now been renamed to Jade, Celestial, and Amber dust. These correspond to one of the Orders of Magic in the Old World.
  • Added Bright Dust. Salvaging a Veteran item will grant one Bright Dust.
  • Added the ability to upgrade an Exotic item to a Veteran item. Upgrading an item from Exotic to Veteran quality will cost 5 Bright Dust. An item upgraded to Veteran quality will retain its Traits and Properties, but these will be set to their respective maximum bonus. The item's Power Level will be set to 300 and it will retain any skin currently applied to it. We want to be clear, the Bright Dust system is designed to solve the problem of duplicate reds that you wanted to put to use. We are working on a solution for players to obtain specific blue illusions that will come in a future update - it will not be a part of the Bright Dust crafting mechanic.
  • Extracting Weapon Illusions have been removed. Whenever a player is rewarded an item with a new illusion, that illusion is unlocked, available for being applied unlimited times.

Endlich die Gelegenheit sich eine begehrte rote Waffe zu basteln. Wenn man halt anderen überschüssigen roten Krempel für Staub rumliegen hat. Auch das die Illusionen jetzt mehr "Standard" werden anstatt das disechanct+apply gedöns sollte helfen. Social Wheel für Dumpfbacken Kommunikation mit quickplay gruppen ist auch knorke.

-Added three new levels, remastered classics from Vermintide 1 – Horn of Magnus, Gardens of Morr, and Engines of War. These have all been brought up to the level of polish and quality of Vermintide 2, and are available to all players who own the Back to Ubersreik DLC.

-Each hero receives a new weapon, which is available through Okri’s Challenges, for owners of Back to Übersreik. Kruber receives a Mace and Sword. Bardin gets new Dual Hammers. Kerillian’s been good this year, and get a one-handed Elven Axe. Saltzpyre gets an Axe and Falchion. And Sienna receives a flaming Crowbill. Each of these weapons can be used by all careers of their hero, and each weapon has two additional weapon illusions. These illusions become available by completing specific Okri’s Challenges using that weapon.

Es gibt außerdem auf allen drei Karten einen zwergischen Runenstein zu finden. Hat man alle drei nach harter Rätselei gefunden, wird eine vierte Karte freigeschaltet die allerdings nicht über die herkömmliche Anmeldung betreten wird. Dafür sollte man dann shcon eine feste Gruppe in seinem Keep versammeln.

  • New Weekly Events are now available to play. These are 'mutators' which change the way the game is played.
  • You might have seen those picture frames in the Keep for the last year - well now it's finally time to populate those frames.
  • Every level has now been populated with scraps of Ravaged Art. Collect all these and complete your collection.

  • New Game Mode: Winds of Magic - Bring your friends and try to complete a new set of challenges with increasing difficulties in the weaves of the eight Winds of Magic.
Weaves (PC GAMER)
The Winds of Magic is made up of what Fatshark is currently calling "Weaves". Each Weave will be a combination of the following elements:

  • Map: A chunk of one of the existing adventure maps, remixed to add variety. In the example I was shown, for instance, the map was played back-to-front. These maps will also look different based on which Wind is currently active.
  • Wind: A modifier based on the Winds of Magic. One example being prototyped for the Jade Wind (the Lore of Life) is that players have constant health regeneration, but take damage each time they hit an enemy.
  • Objective: Your goal in each Weave is to complete a specific task. Currently being trialled are objectives such as killing a number of enemies of a specific type and defending a capturing a number of control points.
  • Finale: Once the objective has been completed, a portal will open to an arena where players must survive a final showdown. Examples I was given included battling waves of enemies, or fighting against multiple bosses.
  • Difficulty: As players progress through Weaves, Fatshark plans to escalate the challenge far, far beyond what is currently available. The base set of Weaves will all be handcrafted, but the plan is for them to repeat at exponentially higher difficulties.
