Hallo Liebe GW-Fanworld Community,

Yes.... my gigantism stroke hard this weekend.

After a Templer Board, Necron Terrein and about 5 billions of minis I just started my first scratchbuild project.

Why especially a Reaver. Well... I am for my part a german and as you maybe know Germans really like Big things: Merkel, Dicke Berta and so on. So I thought I'd better go for a big thing as well, because otherwise I wont be pleased .

In the end of the day I thought, that a Warhound is tool small and a Warlord is too unhandy for Grey Knight. So a tiny nice Reaver would do.

I'll make it short: just have a look!

Planning and working yet was about 8 hours.

It's all built and made of 1mm thick plastic cardboard. Stuck together with polysterol-glue and it works quite well actually.

Rocketlauncher... yet i still dont know how to do the Rockets. I'd like to have something gothic-style so I tried the lights from CoD srpues. But it is not too satisfying. 🙁

After some time of being unable to continue now today the next steps in building that titan.

I came to the opinion that the former upper carapace plate is too long and also not detailed enough. Thats why I removed it from the titan. I want to have it also as detailed and gothic as the shoulder pads, so I gonna build a new one.

Same is valid for the "back" of the model... so i experimented a bit with =I= iconografy. I quite like the result:

Then I finally proceeded to the last steps of finishing the torso by building the basis for the exhausts. (no picture)

And also (after some experiments with the right angle of putting the legs) I decided for a leg design.

Thats it for now... and sorry if I made you guys drool. I dont know when there is going to be the next update. But I can promise one thing: This project wont stop 😀

And today more material arrived... allowing me to create the exhausts for the back of the titan. Below the two main exahausts I will build two secondary ones... (much like the big ones, only smaller).

Maybe I will finish it tomorrow.

Also I discovered a nice way to fill the gaps, that appear necessarily when not having a plan. I use that putty by Revel. It works actually quite well 😉

But now have a look...

Update time!

The two feet are almost done, soon there will be the legs. But I doubt I will be able to manage to build them before Xmas (going to the climate summit as delegate).

But nevermind, here we go:

and finally my whole working place. messy, but beautiful... (and no, i dont get money from starbucks)

Okay, here we go. Two bottle of wine, several dungeons in Icecrown and a thai fish curry later I represent the joint segment for the legs. There is still a lot of detailing missing of course as well as an armour plate that comes between the eagle-heads.

IMG_5238.jpg

That is my "plan" for the segment.

And then I was curious... I didnt put all the pieces together yet and unfortunately the Titan cannot stand yet. So I laid it out on the kitchen table and I must say: I like what I did so far!

And for size comparison a Eldar Void Dragon Phoenix... Massive!

And here we go!

The very first pictures of the Titan in almost full height! It will be some 90cm tall...

Yes, the lower legs do look a bit thin, but this is pnly because I didnt attach (and didnt think of) the armour plates yet.

But still, the Titan is getting more and more his final shape ^^ I didnt expect this project to develop this far. But still, now it is about 60% done and I will finish it.

On the other hand: I have no clue yet how to create his arm weapos... I would like to build some massive Psi-Blaster and a massive Titan CCW. But I will think of it next year ^^
