Mir hat das vor 25 Jahren mal einer gezeigt, und seit dem hab das ein oder zwei mal gemacht, ist ne irre Sauerei, ist aber dünner und verbindet sich mit dem Plastik...

Auch noch nie gehört, klingt auch unintuitiv, wenn es sonst doch auch mit Wasser verdünnbar ist. Was passiert denn, wenn man beides reintut? Wasser nehme ich ja eh zum Vermischen von dem Zeug, sonst ist es hart und bröselig.

Green Stuff with a thinning agent

Using Green Stuff (Kneadatite) mixed with a thinning agent is an effective technique for filling, smoothing and hiding mould lines or gaps in plastic, resin or metal miniatures. When mixed with a solvent, it transforms from a malleable putty into a paste that can fill fine lines and be smoothed out easily.

Techniques for Using Green Stuff on Mould Lines:

• Thinning/Liquefying: To turn regular Green Stuff into a liquid-like consistency for filling, mix it with a solvent like acetone, or use Aves Safety Solvent. This creates a paste that fits into tiny mold lines and gaps.
• Application Method: Apply the thinned paste to the mould line, then smooth it out with a sculpting tool or your finger to ensure it lies flat.
• Smoothing & Shaping: Use sculpting tools, specifically ones with rubber tips, for the best results in shaping and smoothing. Lubricate your tools with a small amount of Vaseline, vegetable oil, or saliva to prevent the putty from sticking to the tool rather than the model.
• Alternative Fillers: "Liquid Green Stuff" is a premade product that acts like very thick paint and is useful for gap filling.
• Finishing: Once the Green Stuff has cured (which takes roughly 24 hours for a full cure, though it's workable within 20–30 minutes), it can be sanded or filed down for a seamless finish.

Also so wie ich es mir vorgestellt habe. Ok, dann spare ich mir den Test für ein Nurgle Projekt auf. 😀
Dann bleibe ich wohl bei Holzspachtel und billiger Sprühfarbe für FDM.

Ich würde jetzt langsam aufpassen beim Einkaufen von Green Stuff, nach meinem Verständnis können das ja nur noch alte Bestände sein.

Ich hab jetzt anlässlich des Lebenszeichen hier im Thread auch nochmal geguckt.
Das letzte Update von Slymasta ist nun 4 Monate alt und genau jene Info, "by the end of the summer".

If you are a Green Stuff customer, this is ultimately the question you probably want answering – when will new Green Stuff be ready to launch?


When we set out on this process, the aim was to have a product which could be tested for feedback by Green Stuff users by the end of the summer. The R&D team believe we are on track for that – although there are still several hoops to jump through and no shortcuts to be taken.

The flexibility of the cured material is one of those hoops. And every mix of different Part A and Part B must be left for weeks after curing to assess how it changes over time – with specific focus on that flexibility.

Stringent test runs are also needed of formulations through the extrusion machine. An epoxy putty made in small 50g or 100g test batches does not always come out with the same consistency or properties when produced in bulk.

Once all that is completed, we will then ask Green Stuff users to assess the new putty. Only when they are satisfied that what we have made is as close to original Green Stuff as possible will we look to mass produce and bring it to the worldwide market.

If it all sounds a bit complicated, that is because it is. But despite the challenges, we are confident that new Green Stuff is nearly with us. Watch this space.
