Surprised no other site has posted these yet, but a big book of Blood Bowl artwork at the game's dedicated stand featured at the end a few render images of Orc cheerleaders. The team kept mentioning cheerleaders in jest in the panel, and I have no idea if these were just concept or are planned for actual release, but... here are the pics I snapped.

Also, I spoke to Tom (the sculptor of Mighty Zug - I believe that was his first name) and got a definitive answer as to his intended vision - it was indeed the hand holding a ball! He admitted it was unusual for Zug, true, but he envisaged Zug scooping up the ball after it had been dropped by a nasty blitz, and using it to lure other opponents to within arms reach.

Re: goblin pitch, I was lucky enough to attend the seminar today, but was right at the back (which was difficult to hear at times), but I thought the chaps said the reverse was a waterlogged goblin pitch, with something about squiqs depicted on the board and potentially featuring in the unique rules.

Also, someone in the audience asked about the disparate rules appearances, and the team commented that they hoped to compile everything into one complete book - but that would be many years from now.

Skaven Booster - £20.
Star Players - £18 (same as webstore)
SP Duo - £20 (same as Grak and Crumbleberry)
Orcland Raiders - £32 (same as Bright Crusder upgrade sprue)
Neoprene pitches - £40 apiece

Absolutely nothing that deviated from standard pricing.

Thanks! Are the SP duo exclusives? Or will everything be available later in the FG store?

They're not a limited release - at one of the seminars they said they hoped to release through FW in a couple of weeks time - very quick turn around time (so avoid potential scalper prices on eBay!)

Just assembled my goblin special weapons set, and I have to say - the ball and chain is simply phenomenal! Remind me of he Bow Wow Chain Chomp from Links Awakening. ^_^

Chainsawer face is just a simple hockey-esque mask - looks a lot better in person than the pics. Ball and chain is sturdy enough - attaches to the fanatic via his wrists and a base chain section, IIRC. The bombers smoke itself is pretty solid, but where it pins into the bomb body... I did find that a little tricky to glue and hold in place - got tbere eventually, but it did require a bit of attention to stop it wobbling.

They're fantastic sculpts full of character - really made me smile once I had finished putting them together!

Last couple of thoughts from the show - based on what was said, shown, and intoned (always the rogue element) - were I a gambling man, I would lay money on the following as a likely release schedule for full team sets: Elven Union - Nurgle - Wood Elves - Treeman - Halfings. I didn't see anything Nurgle related, much to my dismay, but they did mention Wood Elves and Halflings a lot, and reiterated all the teams in the book would be released. I suspect they will appear just like the go lins have (big fella for an existing team, which overlaps with them, and a smaller box of 4 for human teams). All my own inference, of course, coupled with long-rumoured double-sided elf/Nurgle pitch - but that would line everything up neatly.

Another chap said they were aiming for a new boxed team every four months - which is a bit oddly slow, given they have hired two dedicated sculptors for the range, but... The huge numbers spending a lot on Blood Bowl at the festival really showed how popular the game is - was very nice to see such support.

Some Blood Bowl infos for Q4

https://warofsigmar.s3.amazonaws.com/uploads/blogging/picture1/2363/troll.jpeg

Blood Bowl, AoS and 40k are doing so well they actually had to increase stock levels in their warehouses across the globe.

Elven Union is coming out Q4. Forgeworld will release additional stuff like cheerleaders and more pits for older teams. Also more weather themed pits are coming!

Blood Bowl did so well, they can now do more multi-part styled kits for it (and Necromunda). Expect to see more options with the Elven Union kit, aswell as female players! The second Troll will f.e. have different head options because of this.

The plan is to release four plastic teams per year now, one for each quarter. They have enough designs and production for an ongoing release schedule, including dice, boards, single miniatures and accessories 🙂

Regards,
Lady Atia
