I did originally post that outside the HH box set the 30k range (or some of it) would feature logos (and rules) for both 30k & 40k, so I think it's pretty safe to assume that 30k & 40k will have different rulesets. As GW now see themselves as sellers of models to collectors and NOT a games company I fully expect at least one of the systems to be a simplified AoS(ish) ruleset.

Hastings auf Warseer:
It's not to "lead into 40k" it's 30k, it's a separate game system. The HH boxed game is standalone, like the 40k EF assassins game was.

The components from the HH box game will form the first part of the 30k range, the assassins from EF boxed game should be released eventually as individual minis for 40k, again all from my post in feb.

Hastings hat nochmal bekräftigt, das 30k als eigenes 3.System erscheinen wird und die Gerüchte um die HH-Box und den weiteren Content nochmal etwas angeheizt.

Hastings auf Warseer:

It IS a standalone box, like EF was, however the contents will be released separately as part of the new 30k range when it launches, this game will have a different ruleset to 40k.

In einem späteren Post deutet er an, das die Box vielleicht doch nicht wie Execution Force werden könnte, sondern wie die Boxen für 40k, die 2014 zu die beiden Kampagnen erschienen.

Hastings auf Warseer:

I'm just saying the info is all there from my original post. As of yet the only real unknown quantities are:-

A/ What other kits will form part of the 30k range
B/ What ruleset 30k will use
C/ What format the "standalone" HH box will take, i.e. will it be a lite version of the upcoming 30k and therefore make the box similar to the stormclaw etc. that basically provides 2 opposing forces, and in this case a ruleset and maybe scenarios. Or will it be something more aking to execution force, a standalone game that doesn't lead into the main game, other than being able to use the miniatures from it for 40k.

For me the most interesting part of this whole 30k thing isn't the rules, as god knows by that point in time GW will probably expect you to write your own if AoS is anything to go by, no it's the potential of the 30k range. Sure it starts out with marine vs marine, but you have to ask what condition the other known races were in at that point in time, what were their tech levels like etc, what about races that are maybe gone in 40k but were still around in 30k time. I think this has potential to be something special if handled right. But judging by recent events I don't have much faith this will be the case. I don't want to sound like the doombringer BUT I am fully expecting something dumbed down to the levels of AoS that is purely a sideshow to the main event of selling models. Silver lining in this case is the history is already there with 30k they can't suddenly wreck it all and replace it with the child like scrawlings of some idiot, and the very worst that can happen is HH models get mass produced in plastic and people continue to use the rules for 40k/FW HH to use them, sadly fantasy doesn't get that option.

“Can’t remember where it was in the old thread (or possibly another forum), but I believe it’s been rumoured that the box is themed around Phall, with Imperial Fists versus Iron Warriors.
I’ll see if I can dig out a link to where I saw that.
….
It is noted that the forces are asymmetrical; themed around a boarding party and defenders.”

… Also the contents rumours are slightly wrong. The forces aren’t an exact mirror of one another. One force is a Pride of the Legion style force. Some might even call it a boarding party… The other is based off normal Tac. Marines.

As for the ship name, I don’t think the game is based on this particular ship, but I’d go with the “Tribune.” Or one of the other warships in that warzone anyway.

WhisperofTruth responds:

“Ding ding, we have a winner.
If I remember rightly the box has around 44 models. Including 3 Mk4 boxes, terminators, cataphracti and the two characters.”
