Hastings auf Warseer:
I'm just saying the info is all there from my original post. As of yet the only real unknown quantities are:-
A/ What other kits will form part of the 30k range
B/ What ruleset 30k will use
C/ What format the "standalone" HH box will take, i.e. will it be a lite version of the upcoming 30k and therefore make the box similar to the stormclaw etc. that basically provides 2 opposing forces, and in this case a ruleset and maybe scenarios. Or will it be something more aking to execution force, a standalone game that doesn't lead into the main game, other than being able to use the miniatures from it for 40k.
For me the most interesting part of this whole 30k thing isn't the rules, as god knows by that point in time GW will probably expect you to write your own if AoS is anything to go by, no it's the potential of the 30k range. Sure it starts out with marine vs marine, but you have to ask what condition the other known races were in at that point in time, what were their tech levels like etc, what about races that are maybe gone in 40k but were still around in 30k time. I think this has potential to be something special if handled right. But judging by recent events I don't have much faith this will be the case. I don't want to sound like the doombringer BUT I am fully expecting something dumbed down to the levels of AoS that is purely a sideshow to the main event of selling models. Silver lining in this case is the history is already there with 30k they can't suddenly wreck it all and replace it with the child like scrawlings of some idiot, and the very worst that can happen is HH models get mass produced in plastic and people continue to use the rules for 40k/FW HH to use them, sadly fantasy doesn't get that option.
