Wie ich finde, ein interessanter Blog-Eintrag --> http://plastickrak.blogspot.co.uk/2015/06/age-of-sigmar-sales-pitch-from-gw.html

Age of Sigmar: The sales pitch from GW

More and more details are leaking. Heres the latest from a GW rep talking to an independent retailer:

Ok so I just spoke with our GW guy for about a half an hour about Age of Sigmar. Here are the details:
+All the rules are free, core, unit specific, everything- The core rules are very simple but the complexity comes with each unit getting its own individual "Warscroll." The warscrolls will detail what each unit can do, its stats, etc. All the warscrolls and the core rules will be made available for free download starting on July 4th.
+The game can be played with all existing models in the warhammer fantasy range. There is no strict force organization chart. You could make an unbound army but there are benefits for taking units of the same faction. There is increased synergy and interplay between units of the same faction (Chaos, Elves, etc).
+ There is a lot more synergy in general in the game. The Khorne banner guy you see in the pictures has the ability to plant his banner in the ground and create a warp rift where every Khorne unit within 12 inches of the banner gets all sorts of nasty benefits.
+The starter box is 100 bucks after discount at TJs. It comes with 47 new models, 96 page Age of Sigmar Book, dice, measuring sticks etc. It comes with two armies Warriors of Khorne and a new army (Stormcast Eternals). He said the pictures floating around don't really do them justice and that they were the best quality plasics he has ever seen (he got the chance to construct, paint, and play with them last week). That sounds like a sweet week at work! smile emoticon
+The Stormcast Eternals are warriors of the warhammer world that Sigmar saved before the destruction of the mortal realm. They are then reincarnated as demigods keeping some of their previous personality. Every time they die, he resurrects them and they lose a bit of their individuality of their first life. This will explain how we will see heroes and villains that were important figures in the Warhammer World before hand. Apparently the guy riding the drake is one of the previous characters but his identify isn't revealed yet.
+There will be a bunch of new armies coming from the 9 realms of the game world. Some of the realms are familiar (Death, Beasts, Chaos, Heavens, etc). Each realm will have familiar armies coming from it, as well as new ones (like the Stormcast Eternals). I am guessing my beloved Greenskins are in the Beasts realm!
+The white dwarf next week comes with a new Stormcast Eternal Mini.
+The game while having skirmish elements is not just a skirmish game. Large scale battles are completely doable and actually will have a lot more interplay and intricacies due to the layers of synergy with the individual warscrolls for all the units.
+Bases don't matter. Measuring is done model to model (center mass I imagine). Bases are purely for aesthetics.
+He made a comparison to X-Wing where the core rules are simple and fun but the unit specific rules are where the game really comes to life.
+Premeasuring is still alive and well.
+There are fluffy faction specific rules that make armies play how you would imagine. He used an example of how Khorne units have the ability to take a death blow. When a khorne model dies they can get a last gasp strike as they fall.
+He said the game plays faster than WHFB, is simple at its core, but complex once you start throwing in all the unit specific rules. He said it would be much easier for new players to get into the hobby and the themed armies have really cool things up their sleeves.
All in all I am really excited. Putting all the rules out there for free, making any regiment box in effect a starter box, and keeping large scale battles relevant are smart moves. I cannot wait. We will be having some Age of Sigmar stuff going on in the run up to the Launch Party. More details to follow! Everyone will be able to start playing AoS on the fourth of july without spending a penny.

I'm a sucker for a good sales pitch, but this is getting exciting. I am looking forward to the new edition. A lot of people are talking it down as a skirmish game, but I am not really reading that out of all the rumours. I still think we will be seeing a 100-200 model count armies at tournaments. There appears to be the potential for more depth than 8th edition.
It will also match the rapid launch pattern GW uses now, without having to stock outdated rule books.

"Just thought you guys would like this info.
I am currently at forge world open day in Nottingham. And have been speaking to the reps about age of Sigmar. A lot of my fears have been laid to rest.

BIG NEWS: There is not going to be a big rule book. However, there is already in the works a set of rules for competitive and tournament play.

Points dont matter so much, because everything will be based on scenarios. There will be - his words - literally hundreds. You will never need to play the same scenario twice.

Added to this there are dozens of campaigns in the works, all of which will expand on the rules and warscrolls available.

Additionally, the 'silly' special rules already seen in the warscroll releases have been done as a homage to older characters and units. These are not due to continue going forward.

So - no BRB, but there will be rules for competition. Oh, and list building is now accomplished through working out the synergy between wars rolls. As you don't have to pay for equipment any more, and optimizing is therefore out the window, getting units to work more efficiently is all accomplished through which warscrolls you choose and how they can make the units around them better.

Hope this helps

Wonder if if there is anyone else there who can confirm or debunk this."

Da scheint also noch was zun kommen in Sachen Balancing.

I would expect to see nothing but more Humans and Chaos stuff for a couple of months along with a bunch of terrain (so folks can build 'new look' tables) and then the Skaven stuff to hit.

Once all the new factions are introduced, and the war scrolls proper are
put up, that’s when we finally get the BrB. Don’t think of this as 9th
edition, think of this as the first expansion to Age of Sigmar. It’ll be
much smaller than a core rulebook, but larger than a codex, and will look
and feel a lot like the Horus Heresy books from FW. There will be rules
for list building, missions, campaigns, as well as all the “advanced
rules”, more rules for gods, magic, heroes, loot, more terrain abilities,
and special rules for games on specific realm

Was? 45€ für fünf Figürchen?
Echt schade, da nutzt auch kein Goldjunge vorm HQ was.

Edit: https://twitter.com/Lady_Atia/status/618057434163232768

Habt ihr schon bemerkt? Dass doch ein AoP kommt! Euer 30 seiten gequengel umsonst was...

“GW had a guy camped out at the Forge World open day whos entire job was to answer questions and talk to people about Age of Sigmar. His entire job is to go to shows and talk to people about the new game. For the first time I think ever they’re taking Age of Sigmar to Gencon, Comic Con, all the major wargames conventions in Europe etc. They’re throwing a considerable amount of money at putting this in front of new audiences who have never played fantasy before. He was also brutally honest and didn’t dodge any questions and answered everything he could. I’ll start with the negative stuff first.
This is it. There categorically will not be a ‘9th’ edition of fantasy. Age of Sigmar is the only thing fantasy related GW will do for the considerable future.
He acknowledges that the ‘funny’ rules are rather silly and don’t make for a great intro to the system for new people. His response was that the armies in the box set don’t have the silly rules. They’re there as kind of a celebration and final send off of the old warhammer armies, and he said you might notice the new armies don’t have the stupid noises or imaginary friends. This is deliberate, its designed that you’ll only generally play the old stuff with your mates since it’s a bit embarassing to play in a public place.
The new races will look different to the old ones. Ooruks will not look the same as the orcs we currently have. As such, when they get round to releasing Ooruks, the old models will cease production. He did say that you can still use your old models as ooruks, but you won’t be able to buy normal orc boys again.
There will never be points values.
On to the slightly positive stuff then.
They are going to fully support all modes of play, and will be releasing rules to balance armies against each other. There will be narrative campaigns where your forces are picked for you for specific missions, and there will be a system for tournament players to balance lists that isn’t based on model count. He did not know the specifics of this, but said it is definitely coming.
The rules will always be free. He said that they are very very aware that fantasy had a massive buy in for someone to get started, as such the game was designed with the ability to play it with one box of models. There will be army books, but every rule in them will be available, for free, online. The books will just have extra background info and scenarios.
GW really are trying harder than they ever have before to make this work. If you’re at one of the shows go and talk to them. They want to talk to you about this, but especially they want your feedback on it. As he said, this is totally uncharted territory for them and they are totally open to rules revisions as they go.”

http://www.brueckenkopf-online.com/?p=145635

"264 pages, 8 scenarios, 24 warscrolls for stormcast eternals, khorne bloodtide and sylvaneths, 74$, has a limited edition too"

"so... sigmar is a raging angry kid who got his sandcastle destroyed by other kids and now he's throwing rocks at them?"

Nein nein, du verwechselst da was.

"Once upon a time Sigmar came upon a maiden of supreme beauty and innocence
being despoiled by a foul band of the followers of chaos. Slaying the minions of
darkness, he reached forth his hand to aid her, but she recoiled from him. "No
milord, i am not fit to touch you, let alone to look upon you! I am tainted by
their foulness and shall never know the light again". So moved was Simar for her
that he smiled gently and waited until finally she allowed him to carry her home
to his realm. There, she slowly healed in body, and even more slowly in soul.
But eventually she smiled again, and found happiness tending Sigmar's gardens,
and helping to heal the injured warriors who fought endlessly in Sigmars name.
She seemed to gather in Simars light, growing more beautiful, and many a warrior
secretly loved her with all his heart, and would do anything she asked. But
there was one, who noticed that at times it seemed almost that in the light of
Sigmar, the lady cast two shadows. But he keeps his thoughts to himself...for
now."

Age of Sigmar - 3. Woche - Preorder: Lord Castellant + Gryph Hound / Gebäude
