Anscheinend hat es GW nun auch auf VASSAL abgesehen:

Well my dear Vassal-ers. The day we feared has finally arrived, a letter from GW.
Not entirely sure what they got us on as the letter was probably a generic copy and paste thing. So if anyone wants to help us save V40k by pointing out what we're braking then that would be superb, otherwise the module downloads will vanish and they'll be no more updates! Ever!

I don't know much about legal mumbo jumbo as you can probably tell, I shot them an email but frankly I don't expect a helpful reply. Though remember that Version 5 wil still work as we don't host the servers or have any control. We can't tell you to stop playing and neither can they. It was long expected with V40k becoming stupidly popular. At least we had a good run.
I'll keep you all informed.

Well news spreads fast, we have a few threads on a few forums now, it's great to see how many followers we have. So thanks for showing your support.

Ok so we're not much closer to figuring out what we've done wrong, I personally think it's the Ads, so I've removed that page. Ads are now free then it seems.

Also I'm removing the Paypal buttons just to be safe. We make no money from any of this, the money goes towards the Mediafire account, the Photobucket account and hosting the website. Any that's left rolls on into next month to pay for those fees.

Fear not, for the website and Forums will still be alive and kicking until the whole internet dies (or I stop paying the bills) and Version 5 is already out so that can still be played.

I shot an email to GW but don't expect a reply til Monday to be honest.

Yet again ANY help to solve this matter would be extremely grateful, we must have one lawyer who plays?

kann mir mal einer die genau installation von den modulen erklären?

eigentlich recht simpel: du brauchst den vassal client und das entsprechende modul v5.x ist die neuste. den client musst du installieren und dann starten. nun kannst du über "lade modul" das modul in den client laden( das musst du bei jedem start machen) und kannst loszocken 😉

finde es echt schade, das es nicht so ein Spiel mit Animationen gibt...so ein richtig geiles 3d spiel 🙂 Aber sonst HAMMER freu mich richtig as ich es mal entdeckt habe 😉

instaliert und so ist alles super nur finde ich niemanden der es mit mir online spielen will. Würde jemand mir mal erklären wie ich online spiele und auch gleich mit mir spielen.

bzw. Suche allgemein Leute die gegen mich spielen wollen.
