Ok, the first AT WarhammerTV segment notes:Twitch froze just as it started, so I missed the opening bit, but it sounds like the release schedule is similar to the other Specialist Games, with a release window every 3 months, and the Reaver will be in the next and the Warhound in the one after that. Went back and watched the opening bit - due to the delays in the game's release, model designer kept working and the Reaver and Warhound will be following up in successive months. Pricing to be announced on WHC soon.
Grand Master set a very unusual product for them. Due to the nature of the game (very few but very large and expensive models), a traditional starter set doesn't really work, so they decided to make a very large box at a large value (one Warlord free) for people that want to jump in deep. "Limited availability" means they have a certain amount on hand for launch, but if demand is good and it sells out in a timely fashion, they will order more but it will take time to restock - it will just take time for that restock to become available again.
Previewed known content. Initial focus is Horus Heresy, with several supplements planned taking it up through the Siege of Terra. After that ("many years") they may look at expanding to other time periods (spoke of Beast Arises supplements introducing Ork Gargants as an example, not a plan) or maybe adding infasntry and vehicles.
They were able to get very precise info on Titan specs as part of CAD designand such - Warlord has a resting/cold height of 32.76 meters, several meters taller when in operation. Where able to answer Black Library when they asked them what the stride of a Warlord was.
Command Terminals and weapon cards contain all relevant info, including points. This allows introduction of new variants to be as easy making a Terminal for them, including the potential for unique named Titans. Terminals are debossed, including having slight recess for the weapon cards. Knight Banner Terminal has 3-6 Knights, one damage track that as it maxes out kills a Knight then resets. Additional Command Terminals packs availabe at launch as direct order. Rules Set comes with 2 of each class and 2 Knight Banner.
Plasma reactor has a track - green is safe, gets dangerous after that. When you push your reactor, roll the plasma die. Blank face = safe, 1 or 2 symbols = move the reactor tracker that many spaces, "bad result" = bad. When Titan overheats and machine spriti takes over, there is a table of traits that range from "useful to hilarious" like the Titan feeling threatened and focusing on recharging void shields to it charging at things.
Weapons deck in Rule set has all major 30K weapon options for all 3 classes, many of which are yet to be released. Decks of additional cards by class will be available.
All three classes designed as three sprues: a superstructure/chassis sprue, an armor plating sprue, and a weapons sprue, to allow for easy creation of variants and additional weapons by making variant sprues. All are designed for magnets.
Void shields are you save value - failing a save drops a void shield, reducing your save.
Scale value represents size of Titan, used for many things - base value for explosion radius (known), also used to determine damage done when a Titan collapses.
Accessory sprue will eventually be sold separately. Contains firing arc templates, cogs for Command Terminal trackers, numbered ID tokens for running multiples of a Titan class, strategic assets. Six strategic assets: plasma reactor, void missile battery, command bunker, macro cannon, comms array, void generator - taken via stratagem cards, each enhances appropriate Titan capabilities.
Order dice for issuing orders, do not have to issue an order. Takes a command check using a D10.
D10 also used for initiative.
Templates used for the old-school feel.
Objectives deck of primary, secondary, tertiary objectives.
Knight models scaled down from CAD, detals adjust to fit scale. 3 different leg poses, wait ball join, 2 joints on each arm, separate head to allow for loys of posability. 3 reaper chainswords (no TG bit, no rules difference at scale), one each avenger, thermal cannon, rapid-fire battle cannon. Knights maneuver freely and have unlimited firing arcs.
Developed 2016 along with 8E 40K so uses the 3 Ways to Play as was developed for 8E.
Skirmish 750-1250 points, a 1250 list is basically 1 each Warlord, Reaver, Warhound, Titan Banner. Confrontation is ?? points, a 1700ish list is 1 Warlord, 2 each Reavers, Warhounds, and Titan Banners Epic Clash largest size game.
Warlord was digital sculpted so easily scaled down. Reaver and Warhound were hand-sculpted so they had to take lots of measurements by hand.
Pre-orders "very soon."
