Nach dem neuesten Update der Regeln ist bei indirect Fire ein unmodified Hit Roll of 1-3 immer ein Fail. Durch Daring Recon bekommt Indirect Fire keinen Penalty zum Hit roll. Ist "an unmodified Hit Roll of 1-3 always fails" ein "penalty to the Hit roll" ?

Und bevor die Frage kommt, GW hat noch nicht geantwortet.

Daring Recon: At the start of your Shooting phase, select one enemy unit within 18" of and visible to this unit. Until the end of the phase, each time a friendly ASTRA MILITARUM model makes an attack that targets that unit, re-roll a Hit roll of 1 and, if that attack has the [INDIRECT FIRE] ability, it does not suffer the penalty to the Hit roll for shooting at a target that is not visible to the attacking unit.

Indirect Fire
If no models in a target unit are visible to the attacking unit when you select that target, then each time a model in the attacking unit makes an attack against that target using an Indirect Fire weapon, subtract 1 from that attack’s Hit roll, an unmodified Hit Roll of 1-3 always fails, and the target has the Benefit of Cover against that attack.

Nein der Penalty ist das -1. Zusätzlich hast du halt die Einschränkung, dass 1-3 immer failed egal welchen BF du aufgrund von diversen Modifyern hast.

Quelle: keine ?‍♂️ Aber „1-3 trifft nicht“ ist halt kein Penalty (auch wenn sich‘s so anfühlen mag 😀) meiner Ansicht nach.

Wie üblich die GW-Regelschreiber die erwarten, dass wir RAI erraten weil sie beim RAW failen. Aus meiner Sicht aber zumindest ein Fall, wo ich nicht lange drüber nachdenken muss ?‍♂️

Jesus Christus, frag doch einfach nicht wenn Du eh keine Antwort als die von GW akzeptieren willst. Das ist doch wieder pures getrolle und die Regel und was eine Penaltiy ist, ist aus dem allgemeinen Sprachgebrauch vollkommen klar.

Siehe Definition von Round Base! Da wird das absolut selbstverständliche in Worte gefasst für die Spezis.

1-3 Fail für Indirect Fire ist für mich das gleiche wie der generelle 1er Fail.

Mein Andatz wäre der, dass die Regel von „unmodified hit rolls of 1-3“ spricht. Dh, zuerst wende ich alle Modifyer an und dann checke ich ob 1-3. Das schließt mMn aus, dass 1-3=fail ein Modifyer ist.

Ich weiß, ist schwach, aber was besseres hab ich nicht. Daher meinte ich ja, dass dies nur meine Lesart ist ?

Sieht so als wäre der Konsens hier das ein "an unmodified Hit Roll of 1-3 always fails" kein "penalty to the Hit roll" ist. Dann hat sich das erledigt.
