Dynastopian Wars

The world of Dystopian Wars is similar to our own, but subtly different. The year is 1870 and the Industrial Revolution occurred decades earlier than in our own world. Technology is far advanced, and in many cases, unrecognisable, which has led to the development of fantastic naval vessels, hulking land ships and terror from the skies in the form of airships and war balloons.
Dystopian Wars is set in a Steampunk Victorian world and is designed to ensure a fun game with a large selection of high quality models in a couple of hours. The rules support Naval, Aerial and Land models from the outset, so that you can set up battles and scenarios in any combat setting. Spartan Games will supply highly detailed, high quality resin and metal miniatures with which you can roam the high seas, scour the smog filled skies of Dystopian Wars for enemy flying ships, or doggedly defend the cities and countryside of your home nation.
Heroes of Myth & Legend
Our first set of 40mm miniatures start our journey into the world of Greek Mythology and focus in the main on Jason and his Argonauts. We've kicked off with a number of classic modelsfor this particular myth and added a few extra models along the way.
Firestorm Armada
This game is our second major product release, and follows the same ethos with which we designed The Uncharted Seas, both are games that are easy to learn and give a fast paced game. We are big fans of naval games whether they are on the ocean or in deep space, so it was a logical progression to ask our sculptors here at Spartan Games to work on some futuristic ship designs.
Firestorm Armada launched on November 23rd with four fleets in place: Terrans, Dindrenzi, Aquans and Sorylian. All four fleets also had Carrier upgrade ships available for them and in our 96 page core rule book we detailed two more races - The Directorate and The Relthoza. Over time we will roll out more upgrade ships, including such things as Escorts, Heavy Cruisers, Leviathans, Gunships and so on.
Uncharted Seas
The Uncharted Seas is a fast paced, action packed game of naval tactical combat set in a world of high fantasy. Using superb resin and white metal miniatures, and controlled by fast and easy to learn rules, the game allows you to wage war with fantastical squadrons of mighty warships.
Choose from one of several races, including the Iron Dwarfs with their steam powered ironclads, Orc Raiders with their grotesque machines of war, the ever powerful Dragon Lords, an ancient race of magical seafarers, Imperial Humans hell bent on grabbing as much land as they can and the Thaniras Elves with their sleek ships of war.

hier was neues
The Galen Class Escort comes with a Fore Gun (S) that has a 270 degree arc of fire, but its primary role is that of providing AA defence for the larger Antarctican vessels.

The Prometheus Class Dreadnought is a major fighting force that any enemy fleet commander needs to treat with respect, or quickly meet their maker. At the front you can see its Particle Accelerator weapon (the rear of the model shows the massive housing that is home for this weapon’s power system) and the four Main Turrets (P) can either fire conventional projectiles OR be swapped out for Energy Turrets. Unlike the Aristotle Class Battleship, the Prometheus cannot submerge its lower superstructure.

Icarus Class Medium Flyers can be deployed in Squadrons of 2-3 models and has been designed to lay down destructive fire to any arc during combat and plays a vital role in any CoA engagement.

The Callamachus Time Dilation Orb struts around the battlefield, its long legs allowing it to tower above other models and terrain, its advanced technologies allowing it to teleport objects and slow/speed up time. As you can see from the images the top section can be removed, which allows for upgrades in the future. One of these upgrades will be a waterlined model which gives it Amphibious Capability with a Movement of 4” on the sea, for no points difference.

The Plutarch Class Destroyer is equipped with a Fore Gun (S) and Port/Starboard Broadsides (S) and has three MARs: Small Target, Pack Hunters and Dolphin Dipper, the latter of which allows it to speed up with its movement if it travels in a straight line semi-submerged.

Hmm, seltsam.

The Titan’s Wrath

The Titan Class Dreadnought was an exciting project for me, since the Razorthorn Battleship was one of my very first designs, and is still one of my favourites; so putting together its imposing bigger sibling is a challenge I gladly accepted. The overall philosophy was to keep the forward angling shape, along with similar lines of symmetry, but to bulk up the hull to give it an imposing girth.
The whole ship borrows heavily from the natural progression of my Terran designs over the course of their upgrades, using the Heavy Cruiser’s subtly curved hull to break up the panels and the three-directional design of the Aegis Shield Cruiser. The Titan is therefore the culmination of the efforts of the Terran engineers responding to the escalating threats of the Storm Zone. As I progressed with the design, it also gave me some great ideas for Razerthorn MK III.

Firestorm Armada: Relthoza Apex Class Dreadnought

The Dreadnought Class, for all races in the Firestorm universe, represents a new phase in the conflict surrounding the storm zone; an escalation of hostility that can only be responded to with overwhelming, decisive force. Each Dreadnought is the cutting edge of design and armament, the newest wave of engineering that sets the precedent for the coming conflict, and the Relthoza Apex Class Dreadnought is certainly no exception.
We wanted a name that would suit the superiority the ship possesses in the minds of the Relthoza admirals, hence the Apex class; the Apex predator among the stars. The Apex class is the pinnacle of the Relthoza combat fleets, the supreme predator in the starship food chain.

The question was; how to design a Dreadnought that was as ferocious and menacing as its peers, yet retained the sleek vertical nature of the Relthoza fleet? That was the quandary I was faced with, and I hope the result matches the intention.

A massive vertical hull matching the style and layout of the frigate, flanked by twin side fins bristling with weaponry and fighter bays. The Apex may not have the experimental weapon systems of The Directorate or The Sorylian Dreadnoughts, but its imposing mass and jagged nature do enough to strike fear into anyone who faces it in the heat of battle.

I thought maximising the use of the vertical plane by splitting off the shape into several vertical blade like structures would give it the bulk required without detracting for the Relthoza’s unique aesthetic, and the extra division of surfaces would give ample room for the ship’s manifold armaments and fighter bays. I hope the final design satisfies the loyal admirals of the Relthoza Navy, as well as the many collectors and painters out there, I certainly had my share of fun making it for them.

Kommt wohl in meine Sammlung.

Covenant of Antarctica:

@Molterei:

Imperial Human Hawk Cruisers

A New Hawk Rises
With Cruisers playing such an important role in Uncharted Seas we wanted to make sure that ships like the Imperial Human Hawk had lots of flavour, which we think you will agree, our new model has in buckets. “I’ve had a lot of fun with the Humans,” explains Dave Kidd. “The shape was a genuine joy to design, and once you get into designing the sails the overall design quickly comes together. I hope everyone has lots of fun playing these new models.”

Banshee Class Cruiser
Neither Dead, Nor Living…
The Bone Griffons are a great race to model, given the ability to literally destroy the model with detail, illustrating the ravaged nature of the ships. The Banshee Class Cruiser (with a Trebuchet) and the Sea Wraith Class Cruiser (Broadside Weapons) is the epitome of what we wanted to achieve with this race.
