Dear Sirs and Madams,
I hope to have found the right addressee for my concerns in you.
I am situated in Germany. My concerns regard the company:
Games Workshop
Willow Road
Lenton
Nottingham
NG7 2WS
When trying to order from Games Workshop I have to state in which country I am situated. According to which country I am situated in, I have to pay a different price.
For example, regarding to their website
www.games-workshop.com
If I type in Primaris Intercessors, in the UK Version of their homepage I have to pay 35 Pounds, which equates to 40,57€ at the time of writing. If I use the Polish website, I have to pay 175 Zloty, which equates to 40,99€. In sweden, it is 450 swedish crowns, or 38,93€. But, I can't order these cheaper options, as I am instantly redirected to Euros, when stating that I am from Germany. And as such, I will have to pay 45€, or roughly 10% more, that citizens from other european countries.
The same is true for their webstore forgeworld.co.uk.
I see this as a form of forbidden geoblocking. What makes things worse is that all their goods are shipped from Nottingham in the UK, all over Europe. So I have to pay more for the same item, from the same factory, shipped from the same storage, than other citizens of the EU.
Maybe you can take action regarding this, in my eyes violent breach of legislation.
Kind regards,
Mike xxx
