Morgen um 15:00 Uhr (mitteleuropäischer Zeit) werden auf der Facebook Seite von Total war die Einheiten der Echsenmenschen vorgestellt.
"The fourth race hasn't been ratified yet," said communications manager Al Bickham. Ratified. He actually said ratified. I don't know what I'm even doing anymore. I quit.
In Warhammer 2, this isn't the case. Each race offers two legendary lords for you to choose between and they have entirely different starting locations. If you're playing as the High Elves, for example, you can go for Prince Tyrion and start your campaign with a city in Ulthuan surrounded by other High Elf factions, or instead select his brother Teclis and find yourself on an entirely different continent.
Alongside the High Elves, Dark Elves, Lizardmen and yet-to-be-ratified races, you'll also find the Old World races from Warhammer 1 have a presence in the New World. These factions won't be seeking to control the Great Vortex, but you'll be able to interact with them, through conflict or diplomacy, as you would any other race.
Okay, this is really exciting! The campaign map of Warhammer 2 will feature armies made up of units from different races, which you'll need to deal with before they become a threat to your settlements. We've never seen this before.
"It's an interesting campaign mechanic," said Roxburgh. "But it also generates lots of cool battles that you'd never usually see."
These armies are also meant to make sense from a lore perspective, we're told. Roxburgh described an example he liked of a goblin beastmaster that had collected creatures from each of the different races and brought them under his control. Elsewhere, there are mercenary bands and rebel forces that have offered inspiration.
http://www.eurogamer.net/articles/2017-06-02-everything-weve-learnt-about-total-war-warhammer-2A small thing perhaps, but worth knowing if you didn't like how this worked in the previous game. In Warhammer 2 every race can claim every city on the map. That being said, some cities make more sense than others depending on the needs of the race in question.
https://www.polygon.com/2017/6/2/15724926/total-war-warhammer-2-e3-preview-hands-onRaces you do not own will show up as adversaries, and with new mercenary armies being added with Warhammer 2, they’ll be able to pull in units from multiple factions.
“They're all found the deep, dark archives of all of the Games Workshop literature,” said Millen. “As an example, there's one that's led by a goblin beast master. His army is filled with beasts. So there's Squigs from the Greenskin army, there's feral bastiladons from the Lizardmen army, and there's Wolf Riders and Boars and all of these different units from other races.
“That's an army you would never be able to fight against ordinarily, but now you can since they’re mercenaries banded together. So it makes for interesting gameplay.”
https://venturebeat.com/2017/06/02/...massive-new-world-for-total-war-warhammer-ii/Miller said the territories include Lustria, Ulthuan, Naggaroth, and the Southlands. And the Southlands have ten different factions fighting over it. Part of your goal is to thwart the other races from reaching theirs.
http://www.pcgamer.com/total-war-warhammer-2-brings-high-fantasy-to-a-redesigned-campaign/The fact that the relatively generic human factions were handled in the first game helps: while elves aren't exactly out there in fantasy terms, the presence of chariot-riding wizards and massive sun dragons (which now have breath attacks) sets them apart.

https://www.totalwar.com/blog/what-the-teams-are-working-on-07-06-17/The ‘Old Friend’ will indeed be our next content drop for WARHAMMER, it’s tied to an event later in the summer. I know there’s some excitement, but it’s just a small thing that we wanted to do. Think along the lines of the Blood Knight Free-LC, rather than lords or anything. Not saying it’s a unit specifically, but that sort of scale addition to the game. The event gave us the chance to do something, so we took it.
Having said that, I can say it won’t be the last addition to WARHAMMER. As mentioned in the previous blog a few months ago, we’d been thinking about what sort of content could be added to the first game, and what that might be. We’ve hit on something we think is a pretty good opportunity to add some more content to the game, so there will be a new Race Pack released later in the year, before WARHAMMER II is released.
No, it’s not Kislev (sorry!), but the New Content team have got some rather unique gameplay mechanics for this new Race, and it will come with a small update to the main game and a Free-LC drop. This particular Free-LC will benefit not only main game owners, but also DLC owners too this time.
Otherwise, the New Content team are in the early concept and design stages for the first WARHAMMER II DLC out post-launch.
Hallo,
Danke 🙂
