Da bin ich noch auf der Suche. Ich habe zwar ein paar Ideen, doch ich suche eher die Albion-Riesen von GW. Aber bei den Preisen für die Dinger, werde ich wohl auf Alternativen ausweichen müssen.
Ich könnte Dir den GW Metallriesen aus der 6. Edition zukommen lassen wenn Du möchtest! Deine Adresse habe ich ja! 😉

Diese Woche kam das Paket des edlen Spenders an und hatte u. a. zwei Riesen für für meine Albion-Armee dabei! ?

Mathias Eliasson, der Macher von "Warhammer Armies Project" hat dies (s.u.) heute auf Discord geposted! 😱 Wer also noch interesse daran hat sich einige der Armeebücher zu sichern, sollte dies jetzt schnell machen! Also @Raben-Floki mach schnell, damit Dir bis zur Rente nicht die Armeen ausgehen! Und nein, ich bin nicht bei Discord aktiv, ich habe das gerade bei Chaos Dwarf Online (CDO) gelesen. Btw. damit hat sich GW bei mir (und wohl nicht nur bei mir) doch unbliebt gemacht ... 😢
@everyone Quite a bit of sad news here: after over 13 years, I was finally contacted by GW, who requests that I remove all GW art and text from the army books that infringes on their IP. I've always known this day might come, and with the announcement of the Old World, it was more and more likely to happen.
What this means for WAP is that I will no longer be able to keep making full army books with art and text and would be limited to only using their unit/character names for the rules-set in an army-list format. It also means I will have to rewrite the whole rulebook to not use games-workshops original writing, as well as redesigning the cover. There are hardly any army books that does not contain some amount of GW-lore, so this means the "unofficial armies" needs to go too.
Time-wise I would not really have the spare time to do this in any greater extent until September at the earliest, but since the Old World is rumoured to be announced/released around October-December this year; I want to hold off until then so I don't spend a ton of time needlessly redesigning everything only for the Old World to supersede it a few months later. So any further updates would have to wait until early next year when it would be due for the annual rules-revision.
I'll wait until Friday this week to remove all the book links from the blog so you all have time to download them until then. After that, it will be up to the community if they want to share them privately. Please do not PM me asking for links to the books.
This does not necessarily mean the death of WAP, only that it will have to continue in a much more limited form in the future. It's been a good run at least, and I hope it's brought much enjoyment out of it.
To end on a positive note though; future rules updates will go a lot quicker in the new format, layout issues would be much less of a problem, and I'll at least get more time to paint...

... und macht es das jetzt besser oder angenehmer? - Nur weil es alle machen, ist es deswegen noch lange nicht schön und richtig. Ich finde es einfach nur traurig! 😢
Genau so habe ich mir das auch gedacht. - Es ist einfach nur schade um die ganze Arbeit, die im WAP drin steckt! 😢

Genau so, wie manche Leute es jetzt schon als Hinweis auf den anstehenden Release von TOW deuten und meinen, daher sei es doch gar keine so schlechte Meldung. - GW macht es, wie immer, richtig ... solange es solche Fans gibt ... ?
Trotzdem mache ich mit meinen WAP-Projekten weiter und habe mir alle, für mich interessanten, WAP-Armeebücher für die 8. Edition schon vor langem gesichert! Dank aller anderen Hersteller brauche ich dafür auch GW nicht, denn es gibt so viele schöne und alternative Minis da draußen! ?
Wann geht es hier mal wieder weiter? 🤔 Der Pöbel will neue Bilder sehen! 👍
Was das Malen angeht, geht es mir genauso! Aber kaufen, planen und basteln geht immer! 😀 Auf jeden Fall freue mich auf deine nächsten Updates!
Da ich gerade dabei bin meine Tabletop-Armeen zu sortieren, wurde natürlich auch ein Gruppenbild der Armee von Lashiek notwendig und hier ist es, sowie einige Zugaben: ?

Da mir das Sortieren und Ablichten meiner Armeen so viel Freude bereitet, habe ich mich direkt mal an die nächste Armee gemacht. ?

Auch hier muss ich wieder feststellen, dass da noch einiges an Farbe dran und drauf muss! ?
Ebenso fällt mir hier auch auf, so wie bei allen meinen anderen Armeen, dass ich wohl ein Faible für Charaktermodelle habe ... 😊
Sag mal, wolltest du nicht aus einem der Wracks eine Kneipe bauen?! Ich erinnere mich da an etwas ... 😉
